Four stars for its price. I never knew that a bonded conical cartridge could sound this good. Not the ultimate in fine detail, but still very nice detail when listening to high-fidelity recordings. This is not going to extract muffled vocals lost in the mix like a 2M Black can ($700) nor will it provide great instrument separation during complex musical passages like the MP-150 ($350) but when listening to any really well recorded music this cartridge delivers -- good bass with big, fat tone and lots of dynamics. Sustain and decay are good. Highly recommended, and doubly-so since the replacement stylus can be had for $30 when on sale. If your speakers have really good tweeters this cartridge will work for you.

I'm always the contrarian - bought the MP-100 instead of the MP-110. I have experience with all sorts of stylus/cartridges. Spherical is not a taboo for me. I heard a comparison between MP-110 and MP-100 on youtube and really like the look and sound of the MP-100. It is 'earthier' than the MP-110 if you know what I mean. Less harsh, lots of nice bass and treble and does not skip on the details. I didn't buy it on Amazon FWIW but thought I'd give my positive review. it's a really great option for an upgrade path - you can easily swap the stylus of the MP-110 if you are bored. I usually prefer Audio Technica but this is a nice change of pace. I definitely recommend this. It's a solid stylus/cartridge.

I didn't find a lot of reviews of the Nagaoka MP-100 but based my purchase on the great reviews for the Nagaoka MP-110. I think it sounds great!. I started listening to all my vinyl after receiving the cartridge.

googleで「Nagaoka MP11 phono cartridge -

Beautiful sounding cartridge. Much more refined than AT95E.

Unbelievable quality for the money with this cartridge. I am absolutely thrilled with the way it has livened up my old vintage system. The bass is tight, the highs are undistorted. I love it. It's like hearing my library all over again for the first time.

I bought the MP-100 as an upgrade to the AT3600 cartridge that came with my MMF 1.3 turntable. Installed properly, adjusted the tracking force (which is much lighter than the AT3600), and listened through several albums -- it just didn't "punch" as nicely to my ears. My girlfriend agreed. Is it a bad cartridge? Not at all. It sounded clear, seemed sturdy, and the packaging was very well-done. The cartridge itself is perhaps a bit bland, but whatever. My main issue is just a lack of "oomph" that my ears seem to prefer. I ended up going with the AT95EX cartridge, which is back to the sound signature that I enjoy.
