This player sounds considerably better than the Cyrus CD 6 that it is replacing. Excellent reproduction of Redbook CDs plus a top notch DAC that can be used with other digital inputs. I was using the built in DAC in my Simaudio Moon 3.3 amp with a Sonos Connect to play ripped versions of my CD collection from a NAS drive on my home network. The DAC in the 3.3 is no slouch, but the one in the M3 player is noticeably better.
