Mosquito/no-see-um netting is an essential item in the north where the summers are short and the blood-sucking insects do not have much time on which to feast on warm-blooded critters. This is excellent netting. The quality is good (i.e., it seems durable and well made, being light enough to carry easily, but thick enough not to tear easily). The black color makes it easy to see through. And the little storage stuff sack is a nice bonus, keeping the netting from becoming tangled in other gear.The netting saved the day on a recent river kayaking trip. The netting fit easily over my helmet, protecting my face and neck, and made the river experience much more enjoyable for me (though the no-see-ums and deer flies were considerably frustrated). The netting would fit similarly easily over any type of hat, though it should be noted that some sort of a brimmed hat is needed in addition to the netting in order for it to be most effective.Still, I'd rather have this netting and my hat rather than a specialized mosquito net hat that would not work so well with my kayak helmet. This netting is simple, well made, and effective. It's a must-have in the north country and I'm pleased to have and to recommend it.

If you enjoy the outdoors, this 2-pack of mosquito netting for the head is a must-have item. The netting is advertised to be "ultra-fine 700-hole per inch mesh", but I only count ~400 holes per square inch (20x20), which would make the netting 20-mesh. Still, that's plenty fine to stop mosquitoes, and should even do well against no-see-ums. Generally speaking, the mesh size is a good balance of performance measures; small enough for protection, but not too small to interfere with ventilation or visibility.The mesh appears to be good quality, and the gathers at the bottom work well. It’s definitely large enough to be worn over a hat, or under if you prefer. My wife and I used them this past weekend and the results were fantastic. All too often we have to cut our walk in the woods short this time of year, due mostly to harassing green heads. But this netting stopped them cold in their tracks. It was actually quite amusing to watch them try and try, but the mesh kept them at bay.As good as this head cover is, the tiny stuff sac makes it even better. Not only is it really good quality, but it keeps the netting from getting tangled up with other gear. Nice touch!👍 RECOMMENDATION 👍Overall, this is a solid product at an affordable price.
