The bracket doesn't match the instructions that came with it. This steel bracket used to have a tab for supporting the rear of the stereo in the dash, which is why I have used it previously. The kit still includes the plastic "bullet" that goes into the dash, but there is nowhere to put it on this bracket, despite the instructions showing it. The instructions also show provisions for a shaft-mount stereo, which are also no longer present. Besides that, the metal bracket arrived bent, and after straightening it out, it won't even fit back into the manufacturer's package, so obviously they bend them intentionally to save a penny on their plastic bag. I can make this thing work, but I won't be buying any more.

To make this work, on 1995 Chevy G-20, it requires the plastic, front pieces that would still be part of the orig. radio, and the steel bracket from the orig. radio. This info isn't provided. I learned from a stereo install shop at my expense. That problem falls upon the factory / manufacturer, no fault of the seller. I think it is a good product for the vehicles it is listed to fit. Do your research to be sure! The seller on the other hand, seems to be very fair, straight forward and is not to blame for this detail. Remember! This is old new stock and the manufacturers of such things back in the day, didn't even check to read the nomanclature for the product many times, they were too busy assuming they were now rich from outsourcing to China and they went to the bank to get the money to get drunk on that money. Often times, the spelling isn't right or the instructions are in foreign language. These instructions suck, but if you spend 4-5 hours, it'll work out. Still cheaper than the install shop where I learned about the missing parts and that this is not a direct fit for 1995 Chevy G-20 van. I learned it does work fine for the vehicles listed in the instructions inside the package though. Remember, you are buying old, new stock for something hard to find and this seller isn't the one to blame, but you need to do your homework and be certain first and then, if there's an issue, remember what I said here! At the end of the day, that guy isn't getting rich at all, so don't bad mouth him or blame him! I am hopeful to make things right here because I realize I can't blame him for the long and frustrating day I had. I blame the manufacturer of this for making me believe it fit this van when it doesn't. The list inside says it doesn't. I will spend another $10 and make it work. I just needed to share this and again ask, be mindful this seller isn't to blame and isn't being paid to install your stereo either. Just a seller. Be fair!

I really like this installation kit. I have bought this item before and never had a problem with it. The main reason I picked this kit was because of the metal housing. It is very sturdy. The plastic extensions have a very nice texture to them that matched my car. Installation was very easy (comes with good instructions) and straight forward. This kit went into a 1984 Camero Z28 and 1984 Fiero.

The item received did not match the picture and the manual was next useless: parts listed that were not included, parts listed in inventory which are not mentioned anywhere in the instructions, instructions for steps that have nothing to do with the case (i.e. instructions for how to connect to the wiring harness which is not part of this product) and the steps and the pictures were not complete or even misleading. It might have been better if there were no manual at all. I did manage to cobble together something that worked and looked okay. Overall it is functional mess of parts that hopefully will work for the specific car. Not for the mechanically challenged or those needing clear concise instructions.

If you own a 1984-87 Buick Regal or Grand National, THIS IS THE KIT YOU WANT!It comes with a metal brace, and 3 face plates, It looks fantastic in the car!YOU WILL NEED THE METAL SIDE BRACKETS FROM THE FACTORY STEREO to attach to the new metal bracket that comes with this kit!Very solid and very sturdy! LOVE IT!And it sits flush! I personally used the 1" plastic front plate in this pic.It comes with a 1/2" and a FLAT one as well. ( Pic one for your personal preference )

Comes with more parts and hardware than I expected. Heavy duty tray, 3 bezel depths, all the screws and hardware you need, and a bag of stuff I can't even identify. Worked perfect.

The pieces worked fine, but the instructions were confusing. If the instructions were better, I would have picked the correct faceplate when installing the stereo, well, the first time.
