These kitchen scissors were highly recommended by many people, but I found the tensioning mechanism to be fiddly & not really necessary.The scissors were quiet stiff out of the packet, but easing the tension even a touch made it too lose & when you took it apart, the pivot just jiggled around, making it awkward to put back together.I bought these for my son & I haven't had any feedback from him as yet as to how well these scissors are working.I have 2 pairs of kitchen scissors, one is a take-apart & the other isn't, & I think I prefer them to this one, just on an initial assessment.I hope these ones will be fine after a bit of use.

The description is confusing on the Amazon website… in writing it says “8-inch take-apart kitchen scissors” however one of the photos shows the dimensions as being 11 inches in length (see my screenshot), which it is NOT. Notwithstanding that, my initial assessment of the scissors is overall positive.

OMG! Saw a presentation on ALL RECIPES, had to have them! They are nifty! Makes you think of, if not familiar with TV show back in the day, McGiver.Was a good buy, LOVE them!

Easy accurate cutting with right hand and left hand. Strong enough to spatchcock a chicken. They come apart for proper cleaning after food prep. They have a helpful gripper to open bottles with arthritic hands. I have these scissors in kitchen, garage, camper. I give them as gifts too.

These are sharp and not bulky like my other shears. Show no signs of rusting like my others that say “dishwasher safe”.Highly recommend.

Bought these to fill a need in my kitchen. My sharp tipped scissors didn't come apart and my utility scissors have a blunt tip that got in the way of projects. These scissors filled the bill. A nice sharp tip for slicing plastic veg & meat packaging and handles that separate for thorough cleaning after opening chicken or meats. The scissors are hefty and well made without being bulky. The handles are comfortable and the red coating makes them easy to find in the silverware drawer. A nice addition to my kitchen tool kit.

Si bien la marca goza de buen prestigio, particularmente estas tijeras no tienen el nivel de calidad que uno esperaría por el precio que tienen. En uno de los lados se aprecia un mal acabado del acero, la superficie no está perfectamente lisa en ambos lados como debería ser, solamente en un lado. Es útil la opción de poder desarticular para la limpieza. El tono de rojo es pálido.

We've been using these for a few months and they work great! They cut everything well (within reason) and even open an occasional beer! I'd say the bottle opener is a little awkward and having a screwdriver on each handle is a little strange but they don't really get in the way and that's not what scissors are for anyway!These do come apart easily for cleaning which is VERY convenient and we don't have any issues with them doing so unintentionally, so highly recommended overall!
