It does spray water. Water spray isn't equal in both directions. One direction it's fine, the other is a little over half. Feels very cheaply made.You get what you pay for.

This is a good quality sprinkler, much better than similarly priced models. What struck me was how light it was. It's very easy for a twist in your hose to flip the thing on its side when you're not looking. Definitely not the heavy-duty sprinkler I remember as a kid. Other than that a quality product.

I have a very large lawn and during hot and dry months I use sprinklers in the front and rear of my home to keep the grass alive. Most sprinkler like this have a heart-shaped camshaft which pushes the sprinkler back and forth. it is the camshaft that usually gives out after a few weeks of usage. Under continuous usage I never get more than a season from them. This summer has been hotter and dryer longer than any in the last 8 years. I bought this particular Melnor in June 2023, because I saw a different design in the pictures and hoped it would be better. Well, it is. I have been using this sprinkler all over the yard; all-day even through the night for the last 2 months. It just works and works flawlessly. It really does push out the water a long distance. I am about to buy another so I can water more lawn at the same time.

For the price, this is great. It has three sizes small medium and large so if you have a huge area it will cover more. My sprinklers are broken right now and I can't afford to fix them so this is doing the job quite well. There's only one thing that I think would have been nice to have on it and that would be a way to make it only do half instead of a full oscillation. I have one area that I'm actually watering part of the patio because I can't get it to only go halfway. But other than that I highly recommend this. It adjusts easily, performs excellently and is great quality!

Unless you are watering a HUGE area (which I don't have), you cannot regulate the oscillating feature. I can't turn the water on full force because it sprays too far missing my grass and spraying the fence or driveway. Turn the water down and it doesn't oscillate or constantly gets stuck in a stopped position. So I work with one to get it just right, walk away, and when I return, the oscillating feature has turned and gotten stuck in the wrong blasted spot watering the driveway, not the grass. I hate these things. The only way I can use these sprinklers is to turn them upside down so they cannot move. Yesterday, I picked one up and it snapped and broke. I got less than 3 months use from it. I have a very old round-type sprinkler. (Don't know the name.) That's the best kind.Unless you have a huge area (not an ordinary yard), I don't recommend. And don't pick it up by the water hose. The plastic is brittle and will snap at the connection. Better yet, don't buy.

I love this thing. I have a very old Melnor rotating sprinkler that I would have to move six times to water my backyard over the course of one hour. This new sprinkler I only have to move twice to get my whole yard, so I very much appreciate the decrease in disruption of my time. I did notice that the rotating sprinkler released much more water and I could thoroughly and deeply soak an area within 10 minutes, whereas when I run this after 30 minutes I only have 4 mm of water in my sprinkler gauge and when I stick my fingers into the soil I also have just a very thin layer of moisture. So I will have to test how long to run it to get a good soaking but I'm still giving 5 stars because of the large area it covers.

For the price it is great. Good area coverage, good movement, good spray. Easy to use.A tad light weighted so it tends to roll with the hose, but that could be fixed with a cheap ass camping stake.

Works good, range is adjustable. Only thing that annoyed me was that it needs more weight or a larger foot print. On several occasions I found it tipped over but very useless otherwise with a very wide sweep.
