Good clip to use on my boat, but I definitely wouldn’t leave my life on the line with it. It may work but NFPA rating is the best. which it does not have.

I like that there is a color indicator showing g whether or not it is locked.

While I initially bought this UIAA-certified carabiner for climbing, I've found an unexpected but perfect use for it in my daily work. Instead of scaling rock faces, this 25kN-rated powerhouse now securely holds my ANC headphones in my tractor and excavator. The knurled nut makes it a breeze to attach and detach with work gloves on, and its lightweight aluminum construction (just 59 grams) doesn't add unnecessary bulk. The D-shaped design and generous 0.67-inch gate opening allow for easy one-handed operation, even in the confines of my cab. It's a small but significant upgrade to my workday comfort, proving that sometimes the best gear finds unconventional uses.

My husbands poor caribener needed an upgrade BADLY. Luckily I saw these and was able to get a replacement (plus a back-up!) These look good, hold all of his keys, and is good and secure. I cant speak to the weight since we just use it for keys, but its been months and there is no scuffs or scratches on it, so for casual use it is good and durable!

While I'm no expert on climbing gear, I did check and these are in fact UIAA certified carabiners. Granted it's not the big name brand carabiner but non the less should still work when you need it to. As long as you're using these for their intended purpose, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work great. The overall construction and appearance seems exactly as good as much higher priced carabiners. So far, I've only really used these for hunting out of a saddle harness and never had an issue with them. For that intended purpose I think they're great. As far as climbing goes, just use your best judgement when your life is reliant on your gear. Stay away from the cheap stuff that isn't at least UIAA certified.

These carabiner clips are a well made, durable and affordable set of equipment. They are capable of everything claimed (I did not have the means to test breaking point). I personally only use them for safety line while climbing construction sites or trimming trees, I am not a rock climber. For my use and in my opinion, the locking mechanism isn't the most secure or preferred. The twist to lock can be opened inadvertently with rope passing through, setting the stage for catastrophe. A dual action push and twist lock is a more secure. These may have their place in other activities that I am unaware of, but I struggle to imagine where that might be.Despite the great build quality and reasonable price. the locking function of these carabiner is less than acceptable in my opinion. I cannot recommend purchasing for any use than may result in injury or worse if the gate were to open inadvertently.

What's in a locking carabiner? Only your life, bro. PPE, whether for work or for play, is the one place you don't want to skimp. You get the absolute best you can afford while still being able to accomplish the mission.Which brings us to these locking g carabiner from JRSGS. I'm not going to go through the tech specs; those are listed in the product description and on the back of the box in the photo above. Suffice to say that you get two attractively (if not standardly) designed, attractively priced carabiner. The action on the gates moves smoothly. The screw locks screw smoothly. They function very well as designed. And that is maybe the only fault I find. They are designed so that the interior top part of the screw lock does not sit flush against the frame when locked I to place. You can see what I mean in photos 4 and 6 above. Now, should this affect the operation of this 'biner? No. You don't climb on or run a rope over the gate. And yet, it doesn't mean a rope can't end up there. Would it snag here? I don't know. I do know that I wouldn't want to find out 70 feet above the ground. So for me, I think these are good carabiners for setting static lines or anchors where I'm not expecting a lot of rope or webbing movement. Good build, great price, solid deal.
