I bought a pair of these in 2012 and they've finally degraded (see pics). I replaced mine and added some to my wife's bike too. Easy install using very hot water and a little dawn dish soap. Only took about 10 seconds per grip using that method. We use Profile Design bar ends and they fit well.

Unlike other reviewers I had no problem putting these on my Bontrager End Bars on my Trek MTB. I used a tiny bit of Slosh (neoprene detergent) on the bars and soaked the grips in hot water. They went on smoothly and have stayed put. They provide a steady grip with a bit of padding. I highly recommend.

These fit perfectly on Origin 8 long bar extenders. I lubed them up with a few shots of hair spray and twisted them on with little effort. No trimming was necessary for these bar extenders. They are really comfortable to hold on to and they look really clean and sharp. I have a crazy handlebar setup as you can see in the pictures. I ride with my toddler on the back a lot so I have bar ends along with drop bars so I don't numb out on long rides. This bike is also my commuter so the extra hand positions provided are welcomed although it probably looks pretty unconventional. These Lizard Skins grips are awesome as I found them easy to hang on to in the rain and cold winds as I don't like to wear gloves as often as possible.

Working out good on my bar ends, used real mild soapy water to make easier to put on.The grip is actually pretty good in all the conditions I have ridden so far and have had no problems with or without glovesThere is not a lot of padding if you like to ride without gloves will feel bit thin but you will still have good grip, I think if the padding were a bit thinker they would be great all around.Usually I use cork but after using these I don't really see the need at this point.Purchased these bundled with Origin8 lite bar ends so the fit is good to go.

These are awesome! I purchased bar extensions for my Specialized Rock Hopper because I do hudreds of miles a month on flat gravel trails (Rails to Trails) and my hands will go numb after a while in the same position. I was looking for some padded tape or other similar cover for the aluminum bar extensions. On a whim I decided to try the Lizard Skins instead and WOW am I happy I bought these. Depending on what you're covering - you might need to do some trimming but for my bars all i needed was some liquid dish soap (very little) and only a slight amount of muscle, to pull them over the bars. The soap dried and acted as an adhesive. I really like the feel of these covers, much better than foam padding or tape. I give these 5 stars for uniquenes, value and quality.

Very, very hard to install. If the bar end diameter is any where near the diameter of these skins, it will be practically impossible to slide them on. You probably don't want these. Taping your bar ends may be a better way to go.Even though these grips are a little stretchy. I found it didn't really help in sliding them on.Maybe you can install them, if you have several hours and a lot of patience to spare.Practically speaking, these only work on some bar ends. Make sure you've got the right kind before buying these grips.Despite what other reviewers said, in my opinion, these grips Do Not fit theOrigin8 Compe Lite Bar End, Long, Black bar ends.

I must admit, these things were a tight fit, and seemingly impossible to get on; but unlike some of the other people in these reviews, I just used hot water in a spray bottle. The hot water seemed to help the material expand, and it actually went on easier. Still, it was kind of a fight to get them on. However, once they were on, they did a very good job of staying on. They are a lot more helpful than I thought they would be, at giving me a very firm handhold. Also, like other reviewers have mentioned, they are not very padded, but they do hold your hands in place. I have not ridden with them in the rain yet, but when I put them on, since I was using hot water, I ended up soaking them completely. I just wanted to see how firmly they were in place, so I put my hands on them to test them. Even when wet, they seem to give a lot of grip so I wouldn't worry about losing my grip if it rained while I was riding.Like another reviewer stated, they fit the "" perfectly without having to cut them down to size or anything. I don't know how far you'll have to cut them if you have any other kind of bar end, and I still don't think they'd be very much good with what they have phrased as 'mini' bar ends. They are very reliable but not very padded, but if all you're looking for is good grip, then I would definitely recommend you try these!

i just wanna warn customers who are looking for bar ends, like i was. those are NOT the bar ends, they are just pieces of material that can fit on bar ends, if you already had them. if they good or not, i dont know, i got them by mistake, misled by the pictures and posting. customer service claimed, there`s nothing wrong with the posting, that it clearly states what it is. well, i bought them without needing them, so its a matter of interpretation.
