Now shipping larger sizes! We have received feedback from customers wishing they were larger and we are listening. From now on all of our orders will contain larger sized juveniles. Our Armadillidium gestroi Isopods are sold in cultures of established juveniles. Originating from deciduous forests of France, these hardy isopods add a splash of vibrant yellow color to your terrarium or vivarium. They're a lively species that in our experience flourishes in a warm and semi-humid environment. They're mostly active at night, but can sometimes be seen foraging throughout the day. As with all of our insects, live arrival is guaranteed.

Revieved 13 baby isopods which unfortunately was not consistent with the product description. I was hoping to have recieved at least 3-4 isopods that had already reached adulthood. The positive is that there was one additional isopod in the order and the delivery was fast! If you are not looking to grow a colony than this would be perfect.

Listing leads you to think there might be some older ones but there were not. All were alive and packed well. Will be a long while to see them like they are pictured.

I realize the listing was for mixed ages "young juveniles to adults", but there are definitely no adults here.I received exactly 12 baby isopods, happy to say they all arrived alive! Sadly, there are no adults, and as A. gestroi are slow to grow and even slower to start breeding this is a long, long way from starting a colony.I've had a fair amount of experience collecting isopods and it's common to receive juveniles mixed in with adults, but there are always at least 25% full grown, ready to breed adults. The price being charged here is definitely the going rate for adults, but to send babies this young is really not a fair business practice. Heck, one of the ones I received is so small I'd practically call it a manca. The seller really needs to deactivate this listing until he can grow out his babies some more. If he's not willing to do that he should update his listing to "young juveniles and sub-juveniles" and cut the price in half. Two stars for great packing and live arrival.
