About this item

  • Unlocked Version Of The Pap2T
  • Use With Any Voip Service Provider
  • Cheaper Than Having The Pap2T Unlocked

The Linksys PAP2-NA Phone Adapter enables high-quality feature-rich telephone service through your cable or DSL Internet connection. Just plug it into your home Router or Gateway and use the two standard telephone jacks to connect your existing phones or fax machines. Each phone jack operates independently, with separate phone service and phone numbers -- like having two phone lines.

Five year review (I like to go back and review things 5 years after I bought them): I used this for about three years before switching ISP to another provider who included VOIP. For the entire time I used it it worked reliably and solidly. My vague memories of setup were that it was pretty straightforward - follow-the-menu style stuff. Although if you're looking at buying this you probably more or less know what you're doing and won't have any real problems with setting it up.

Couldn't get this to work. It is structured for a business environment. Would not work with my Skype.

This is the second one of these I've bought. I had one for my shop to give me phone service up there. We're looking to replace our home phone with a voip provider and will do so with it.

So I guess I should have waited to purchase my PAP2 until my internet problem at home was resolved but I didn't. It therefore took me about 5-6 weeks before I was able to test out the device which does not work. The seller will not accept the defective item because I waited too long to try to return it. I paid over $70 for the ATA device and now have to go out and buy a new one. I will not use this seller again and I probably will look to purchase an ATA device from a different manufacturer.

Appears you pretty much have to buy online, nowhere to look at them. Bought one from an offshore dealer that looked legitimate, but later read they are mostly fakes and it burned out in about 4 months, so hoping for better and relying on better guarantees via Amazon if not. Set up quickly with instructions from my virtual phone company as posted online and works well with two phone hook ups. Good sound, functions, etc.

This little box connected to the internet provides you the ability to use your analog (POTS) phones without having to pay the phone company. I have had it for a couple years and it does well. This one is unlocked so I use sipgate and google voice as my phone provider. Sipgate charges a couple dollars a month to provide it with 911 as well.
