Old 18volt DeWALT drills battery stop working so I thought it would be better to upgrade. They worked out great, hold a charge for months, no problem .I've had them over a year no worries 👍

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Perfect for my older Dewalt tools.

I was a bit skeptical about theses until I tried them out. I had a full set of 18 volt Dewalt power tools and all of my batteries were dead. I had purchased a 20 volt drill that came with two batteries. Used them on my old tools with the adapter and they worked great! Easy to use.

this adaptor worked well as intended. 1 problem the added height wouldn't let me use the 18Vhand saw right. I can only proceed till I hit the battery. ork well on a drill or something.

Unlike the Dewalt versions of this product, these have no circuitry to monitor the charge level on the Li-ion batteries. This means you have to monitor the battery charge yourself to avoid completely draining the battery, which can shorten the battery's life. Many chargers cannot charge a completely dead Li-ion battery. However, by eliminating the charge monitoring circuit, this device avoids the problem of draining the battery if you leave it in the adapter/tool. For this reason, I disconnected that circuit in the Dewalt units I bought. I would rather monitor battery charge myself and not have to remove the battery from the tool every time I put it away for awhile.
