We've only done one official test, but it worked great. It comes with instructions on how to test the pouch for water tightness, and it is easy to complete. The necklace is great so that you don't lose it on the bottom of the pool. I'm very happy with it!

We tested the bag first to ensure it is waterproof, and indeed, it is. To test it, we inserted a tissue inside, closed the bag securely, then dived into our pool with it. Happily, no leaks! Only complaint is that the lanyard is only long enough to hang around your neck, but it is too short to serve as a cross-body lanyard.
