Lol never got to use it for laundry. The kitties took it over. Makes a great scratching post as well as a comfy bed when they collapse one side. Or a hiding place when its open. Will try and get another one. Lol

20" diameter is bigger than you would imagine! This basket is beautiful and sturdy. I purchased 2 to hold my grandkids' toys. I'm very pleased with the sturdiness, bright colors, and reasonable price. If you are deciding whether to purchase, I highly recommend you order one!
