Very happy with this label maker. I mainly got it for labeling wires, but have used it for other labeling jobs. It's a big upgrade from my previous "home" grade printer.

Label makers kind of suck in general. This one lets you make fairly large labels (3/4") and print on heat shrink (but not very big heat shrink.) The print quality is good. You definitely want to read the manual. There are some cool advanced features like circuit breaker labeling, and some simple things are implemented in confusing ways (a lot of common symbols and punctuation are hidden inside the library feature)This jams fairly easily. Jams aren't that hard to clear, but if you're not careful it's easy to ruin the cartridge. Take the time to understand how the tape runs through the cartridge. This takes 6 AA batteries and goes through them really quickly. You may want to consider an AC adapter or rechargeable batteries.I've had pretty good success with the cheap knock-off cartridges, but they don't adhere quite as well and are hard to find in 3/4".

Using for heat shrink labels printing. Big minus is that the original heatshrink tubes are expensive. I'm using replacement tubes from other manufacturer and found them excellent. The price of original Dymo labels is a huge minus.
