I'm a little confused on how I'm supposed to keep them clean? Even in the listing it says do not machine or hand wash. The tag in the sleeve is written in a little bit of broken English but if I'm reading it rightly these can be washed with mild detergent but no fabric softener. In any case, these are not intended to be knee pads but rather protection from mat burns or skin sticking to hard floors in a slide or maybe even to prevent injury when sliding on the grass/soil outside. I do like the compression and feel like the sleeve is very supportive. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because these are not molded to fit a knee. They are flat so when you bend your knee they fold or bulge here and there. A better design with relief cuts in strategic places might make them feel more natural. It's a little annoying but may be something that may not be noticed in time.

The FROHETG Knee Pads Wrestling Knee Sleeve Compression Leg Sleeves for Volleyball Basketball, Black, XL” fits, but I think a large one would have been better for me. I am sixty-five years of age, five foot eleven inches, and 200 lbs. My knees are not as they used to be, so if I am working at floor level, I need something with cushioning. I must pull up the knee pads if I am up and down several times. A slightly snugger pair might not need to be adjusted so often. They have good support.
