I've had this thing for a year and a half at this point, I've only used it a half dozen times. Each time it's been a voyage of frustration trying to get the thing to turn on - the process appears to be "spend 45 minutes to an hour assembling/deassembling the processor "stack" carefully turning everything until it locks in place, etc etc etc, hitting the buttons, having it not work, verifying the outlet works with other stuff, blah blah blah until it either suddenly without reason starts working or you give up in frustration and use a blender instead. Tonight's the last time I waste my precious dinner prep time trying to get this monument to poor design working - done with it. I love my Kitchenaid mixer, but MAN I sure wish I'd ignored the "sale" and gone with the Cuisinart instead.

Love this thing. Bought it after our previous one disintegrated while ricing cauliflower and I was left picking plastic out of my food. I originally did a bunch of research on food processors available through Kohl's and placed an order for it there. A few minutes later, I looked on Amazon for the item I'd just ordered through Kohl's and found it to be $10 less than the sale price I'd just ordered it at. Cancelled that order, ordered through Amazon, have been using it since the day I got it. I love how quiet it is - even my 5 year old commented on it. It's not great to clean, but that seems to be the nature of the beast with food processors.

I love this machine! It does so much! If you clean it up right away, it just rinses right off. I’m not sure why I chose to do all the extra work for so long! I couldn’t live without it now!

I bought this item around a month ago after couple of months researching the internet. To be honest, I was hesitant to buy such products but because i have previous experience with KitchenAid..i gave it a try and for sure...no regret. It was delivered quickly, the package was well designed. The the processor is heavy duty and you can feel it is not a cheap or low quality product. Easy to install...at least for me...and it does the work fast and as it should be.I like one of the blades that you can adjust the thikness so no need to have multiple blades...I found this smart design. The only thing i didn’t like is, i tried to put the onion from top to be chopped but it get stuck and sometimes the led get pushed up and the machine stopped for safety...i think this part should be enhanced. However, I switched to put the onion inside with no issues.Generally, does this product worth buying, yes.If have the chance to buy it again, yes, but with caution regarding the led pushed up.Does it do the work well, indeed.Let me know if you need more insight about this.

Product get 5 stars, company gets 3. I ordered the silver, box said silver but it was white. I called and they were very kind and helpful just didn't have silver. I decided to keep it because I couldn't get a silver or white on for the price. I must say this was the best packaged item ie ever recieved. I would recommend buying from them just hope my color issue was isolated. Customer service was easy to get ahold of and work with.

Ok, so I must admit I bought this not b/c I wanted to chop up veggies or make pizza dough. I have a lovely stainless steel knife and cutting board for that and my kitchenaid mixer does a lovely job with my doughs and batter. I wanted to make chips and as I looked through reviews I couldn't quite discern from them or the product descrition whether the "Exacto-Slice" System (think that's what they call it!) would slice my spuds thin enough for potato chips. I looked at attachments, couldn't quite figure it out so I decided I would let anyone know this adjustable slicing blade slice THIN! It's wonderful for making kettelchips and if you want them baked slice a little thicker I suppose. The grater also does a nice job except when I was doing my baby carrots some of them kept getting caught around the edge. It has a small work bowl and a large one which is pretty neat and it cleans up easily. I made whipped pineapple cream cheese, worked out nicely I was able to crush the pineapple and blend and whip the cream cheese simultaneously...Just for the slicer I would give this machine 5 stars, lol, but I have a large family of snackers ;-)

We've had this for about a year, and we mostly like it. We're not getting the most out of this, because we're used to doing things by hand and are having trouble making the mental shift. It's great for slicing carrots and cucumbers and the like, if you happen to think about it, which mostly I don't. I've never tried to shred anything, because I have a that I've used for years, and I always mix my bread with a dough hook on the same stand mixer. It's awesome for making sofritto in bulk (and then freezing it). The long, boring process of "first finely chop all the onions... now all those carrots... now that huge bunch of celery..." is reduced to a couple of minutes, most of which is spent scraping one batch of perfectly minced vegetables out of the bowl and dumping the next ones in. The actual chopping only takes seconds. But it seems like every use requires almost half the dishwasher to clean up. The lid alone has four separate pieces (the complicated main lid, plus three different sizes of 'pushers' that nest together to make the whole lid). The small bowl fits inside the large one, so if you use the small bowl, you almost always have to wash the large one, too, because something gets on the edge of it.We had wanted something medium in size, but the base seems large and heavy compared to what we expected. Expect it to take about as much space on your countertop as a regular size sheet of paper. I think it's too heavy to move the main part in and out of a cabinet, but you'll need some space in a cabinet to store all the parts that don't fit in the bowl when it's not being used.Update: Six years later, it's still going strong, and I use it to make perfectly smooth "fauxtatoes" (mashed cauliflower). Just boil the cauliflower to death, drain thoroughly, add a stick of butter, and whiz it through the food processor on high until it's perfectly smooth.

Because I have 3 KitchenAid Food Processors - different sizes, different homes, when I need to buy a gift and I see it on a registry for someone, it it always my goto gift. My oldest FP is now more than 15 years old and it gets constant use still. After all this time, the bowl is a bit nicked up but the blades are as sharp as ever and I couldn't manage without it. The 9-cup FP is a big workhorse and one I would absolutely recommend to anyone who cooks. It does quantity in a hurry and it doesn't have all those goofy pieces that are permanent attachments to some FPs. It is heavy duty yet doesn't have a scream or squeal to it, which is definitely appreciated if cooking with several people or entertaining while you cook. Buy it, you can't go wrong.
