From the packaging and photos online looked like it was a good product but when I tried it out when it arrived…it didn’t make good slices of the cucumber when I chopped it… the blades didn’t make enough contact to give a good medium thin slice. This needs to be a better quality product if this is going to be an everyday type “Kitchen Tool” product to use.

Looked like a great product. Received it today with no instructions but pretty self explanatory. Went to cut a half of an onion and the blades broke on the inside as soon as I pushed down on the handle. I tried the second, larger blade and after a few times of pressing down on an even smaller piece of onion, it also broke. Sending this back. Do not recommend.

I love this product! I got it specifically for the mandolin attachment. Our family loves home made chips and this is just perfect for that. Slices super fast and easy. There’s plenty of other attachments to meet your needs or to play around with. I like the basket that catches all your slices but lets the liquid drip through. I’m very happy with this product and definitely recommend

This is a terrific gadget. Did you know that the less the cells of an onion are disturbed during slicing, the less eye irritation you'll have? What's required is the sharpest cutting blade you can find and although these square blades aren't razor sharp, they do the job. My eyes are super sensitive and honestly I have avoided fresh onion cutting because of that fact. I resorted to buying the pre-cut onions in the plastic containers but there you have expense and single-use plastics. It's always something, right? With this tool, what I do is slice an onion in half, lay it between the hinge and as Emeril would say, "Bam!" down go the chopped onions into the container. When it's done, there are some pieces that stick together but they break up easily with a swoosh or two of your hand. I tried to shake the container bowl but it's awkward with the top slicer part on it. A better option would be to include an actual LID, which would also be great for storing the veggies in the frig. You can sit the whole thing in the frig yes, but air is going to get in, so it would be a problem if you weren't going to use them right away. There is as pictured on the box, one of the plastic inserts that I think (no instruction pamphlet) is the "egg separator". I have no idea what it's used for, but that's me. If you know and find it useful, it's there. Primarily I use the mandoline slicer (very sharp and works great), and the smash down chopper. I don't use the cheese grater because when I tried it, I thought it was more difficult than a traditional vertical metal grater. The cheese did not grate smoothly and got gooed up in the plastic piece. Probably would be better to use that if your block of cheese is super cold almost partially frozen. That would also work if you needed to grate a stick of butter for baking.Overall I find this to be a good value purchase. The little "drainer" or colander basket is for me rather useless. I think if they swapped that out for a good lid, this would for sure be a 5-star rating.(Minus one star for not having a good fitted lid and although it's not rocket science, there should be some form of instruction pamphlet/thank you/contact with every item in my opinion, and there was not with this product. )
