I bought this 7-inch kids tablet for my nephew, and it exceeded expectations. The size is just right for small hands, and the protective case is soft yet tough enough to handle drops and bumps without worry. What really impressed me:It comes preloaded with kid-friendly apps and educational games, and I was able to easily add more through the Play Store. The parental controls are very useful—I can set limits, restrict content, and monitor usage without needing a separate app.The screen is bright and clear, even for cartoons and YouTube Kids.It supports WiFi and Bluetooth, so it connects easily to our home network and wireless headphones. The battery life is decent for a kid's tablet, and it charges up fairly quickly. For the price, this is a great value and a very thoughtful design. It's not a powerhouse tablet, but for toddlers and young children, it checks every box. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to keep kids entertained and learning.

I got this to take with me to the No Kings Day rally because I was afraid something would happen and my expensive smart phone would get damaged. I wanted to be able to capture video or photos if I needed to document something, and I tested the tablet out beforehand to be sure it could handle these things. The quality of the images is not as high as a more expensive device, certainly, but for children (which is who this tablet is designed for), it affords a lot of power and fun without breaking the bank. (I planned to upscale my images and videos with AI software.)The tablet is very sturdy so it’s less likely to be damaged during a kid’s rambunctious play. The case has two lanyard-suitable loops on either side of the top of the case should you want to tether it to your child so it doesn’t get lost, or you can hang it on cup hooks in the kitchen if you want to use it for YouTube cooking videos. I haven’t tested it with a voice assistant yet, but I would think anything from Google would work well (including Google Gemini for AI). I don’t know about Alexa or Siri. What really surprised me about this tablet is the parental mode. You can absolutely set up the apps you are used to using on your phone. Some work better than others. The Kindle app from the Google Play store works fine (a tad slow, though), and I was able to download a number of my ebooks. I tend to wake up in the middle of the night and read a little before going back to sleep, and having the bigger screen of this tablet for a Kindle reader would be great for that. The resolution is lower, but it’s still good enough for reading. The Bluesky app didn’t work as well, but anything Google-centric (like Gmail, Drive, etc.) works flawlessly. I was able to rename the device, log onto our network, and make Bluetooth connections without difficulty. They caution you to only use the provided wall charger and charging cable, so you’d be wise to label them both as soon as you pull them out of the box. I made the mistake of grabbing the wrong charging cable, and the tablet made alarming noises to let me know it didn’t like it. I pulled the cable out quickly when I realized my mistake, and the tablet does not seem to be harmed. I’m sure if I had left that cable in, though, it would have damaged the tablet.I’m giving this tablet five stars for the combination of the incredible price, awesome (and available offline) children’s apps (there’s even Montessori and STEM), plus the many user-adjustable features and parent-controlled/siloed child profile. I started to knock off a star because I found the touchscreen to be less responsive than I’m used to, but if you hand this to a child they’ll figure it out. It’s not going to be terribly viewable in sunlight, as I found out at the outdoor rally. Now that I’ve come through No Kings Day with joyful memories and none of the disruptions and violence I had feared (we rock, people!), I am passing this tablet along to my 6-year-old niece for Christmas. I know she’s going to love it.

It's a tablet for kids, but it's better than three of the four adult tablets I have. You can exit the special interface for kids, and it becomes a normal Android 11 tablet except for the case.I'm not sure how much fun the games would be to a kid or how replayable they are, and installing apps seems to take longer than it does on my phone, even though the tablet *downloads* at normal speed.Google Play says the app has finished downloading, and then it's in the "installing..." phase for a good while. (But you can do other things with the tablet during the installation process instead of staring at the screen, waiting.)The tablet doesn't have 5 Ghz Wi-Fi, but 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi is fast enough to watch full HD video with no problem. There's a leg you can swing out of the case when you want the tablet to stand on a desk on its own in landscape mode. Now that I think about it, the stand might work in portrait mode too, but I didn't try it yet.The tablet has a built-in speaker that can get pretty loud. I also connected Bluetooth ear buds to it with no problems.Later I listened to music through wired headphones plugged into the 3.5mm jack, and that worked well, too.I think they should have either skipped the camera or put it on the same side as the screen instead of putting it on the back. The tablet has 32 gigabytes of flash storage, but the Android operating system and the various apps that were factory-installed use a lot of space, so don't be surpised to see that only about 24 gigabytes are still free when you first turn the tablet on.The MicroSD/TF-card slot is accessible without removing the case.I don't think the case is even removable, so really stop to think before you pick the color.
