This straight edge is expensive compared with others, but it is very well made. More importantly, the design is such that it does not slip nearly as easily as other straight edges I have used. It also has a nice grip that keeps your fingers away from the blade of the cutter you are using. A nice feature is also what I think is a steel edge that the cutting blade runs against. This is harder than the aluminum of the rest of the straight edge, so it won't gouge like plastic or soft aluminum rulers or straight edges.

A must when using a straight edge for cutting. I have multiple safety cutters at my shop. Great for saving fingers.
