This battery works in my Sony DSC HX10V camera, but it does not charge correctly nor show that it is charged in the battery power level icon. I bought three of these and none of them ever show as being completely charged. I even bought a new charger because I though the old one was failing. I would not recommend these batteries.I'm trying a different brand. I will update this review after I test those batteries.

Note that tis battery is NOT an original Sony battery and is purchased as a replacement or backup battery for use in my Sony HX5V Cybershot camera. Tis one I got is an NP FG1 instead (as labelled) and is a better battery, I guess, as it got a higher capacity (1400mAh compared to the BG1 which is 960mAh). Have been using it for a couple of months and did several rechargings too. So far so good without any problem. In fact slightly better than my original Sony NP BG1 as it holds a longer charge which translates to more shots. Also it displays the remaining charge in HH:MM instead of just a graphical indication as in the case of the original battery. Gave it 4-star cos it seems very slightly bigger than the original BG1 - tis can be noticed when inserting the battery into the camera compartment ..... It fits snuggly instead of just drop loosely into the compartment & who knows it might get "fatter" with time as commented in other reviews I read. But for the price, its worth the gamble!

This was a replacement for my original Sony battery that came with my camera. It fits in the battery charger and charges up. The first time I used it I did not have any problems. It seems to work as well as the original battery and seems to last as long on a full charge. If or when needed, I would purchase it again.
