Why did you pick this product vs others?:If you like a stiff pick these are great. Dunlop makes some of my favorite picks that I keep around for what seems like ages even playing daily.

I've used so many different types of picks through the years that I've lost count. The one constant is the Jazz III XL.It is my absolute favorite pick for acoustic and semi-hollow guitar playing, jazz playing, rockabilly, swing, and blues. It has the perfect attack, tone, versatility, and feel to be the go-to pick whenever I pick up a guitar. Easy to hold onto using the pick's natural surface texture and raised text.Though I sometimes use other picks for electric bass or more high-gain electric playing, I would choose this pick as my desert island pick for all instruments if I could only have one. It is really that good, and really that simple.

I used the smaller Jazz III’s for years. These are the same but give a little more surface are to grip.

Can't use any other pick nowadays. This one is my favorite.only downside is that the attack when strumming gets duller with the wear of the pick tip, but that's expected from a plastic guitar pick, normal wear and tear.

Hatte die Jazz III von Kirk Hammett.Da sind diese hier etwas größer und deutlich günstiger.Absolut lohnenswert.

Great tone, I just wish the tip wouldn't shred off so quick from all the shredding :D

The design creates a very articulate staccato sound. A jazztone 205 will be fuller sounding, as it is about twice as thick but the tip is similar. A thinner dark tortex PB Jazz, will be even more articulate but thinner sounding. The thinness will depend on your tone controls and type of guitar. A thin sounding pick can be compensated by reducing treble and high mids, but a thicker pick sound will sound brittle if one uses tone controls to try to make it sound like a thin Jazz III or Tortex PB Jazz. I use all three models between archtops, acoustics, and solid body guitars. Moreover, a specific type of music will also make you use a thin pick on a guitar where you usually tend to use a thick pick for a different style.
