I ran this thing continuously for hours while working on a project. Held up great. Very happy with the purchase. I used it with an Iwata airbrush.

Iwata is my go to. My first one lasted for decades before I needed to replace it and even then it wasn’t due to any problem with the compressor itself. At the time I could not get a Sprint Jet so I opted to try another company and man did I miss my Iwata. So, back to the Sprint Jet. Honestly, can not see myself purchasing another brand without some pretty compelling reason. I trust the Iwata, I know what to expect from it. It is consistent, powerful (when I need it), has a great range for my uses, and is sturdy as all heck.I don’t anticipate needed another compressor again but should I I’m sure it would be an Iwata.

I bought the Sprint Jet to replace an ancient Harbor Freight pancake compressor that is super loud and in its death throes. I needed something quieter. The Sprint Jet is WAY quieter than my old compressor; quieter than my best expectations. What I did not realize is this Sprint Jet compressor never turns off. Onces it's ON it's pumping air. Even if you aren't using the airbrush at all, it's pumping air and packing pressure. That air has to go somewhere if there is no holding tank. If you want a compressor that's "smart" enough to turn itself off when you're not using air, then you need the "SMART JET" that is approx $100 more. The end result is that there's a big pressure load on the beginning blast of airbrush paint that you have to spurt somewhere before you begin airbrushing in earnest. As long as you are using the airbrush in a series of blasts, you don't need to do this pressure-relief blast. But if you stop squeezing the trigger for any period of time, a wall of pressure builds up because the Sprint Jet never stops pumping air until you turn it off.EDIT: You can slightly crack the moisture trap valve as a slow bleed relief valve to avoid the pressure build-up on the first pulse. Fifth star restored. This is quite a solid little tool. The more time I spend with it, the more I realize that it's absolutely perfectly designed for my kind of airbrushing. If you are in the "Cult of 40" who airbrush at 40 psi, this won't work for you. But us "26rs" will find this unit is balanced and versatile. If you've got an extra Benjamin, go with the Smart Jet, not the Sprint Jet. My two cents.Still MILES better than my pancake compressor. That beast has been banished to the garage.

Good clean mechanical design. Lightweight. Very quiet. The pressure is not adjustable. The working pressure of 20psi will not allow higher viscosity paints to be used with the Eclipse brush. I was using my Porter Cable construction compressor. Sometimes, operated a 60 psi to move paint. While some will say that this is very unusual and perhaps unreasonable use of the airgun - It suits my purposes when operated at higher pressures. I believe that if you are using the compressor to spray typical low viscosity paints through the airbrush - It will suit your purposes well. I am impressed with the fit and finish of the mechanical parts. It should last a very long time. 20psi is marginal pressure. 30psi would be much better suited.

Bought for my partner and he loves it. Great pressure control and very consitent air flow. Perfect.

After 15 years of faithful service, it was time to replace Iwata #1 with Iwata #2. Iwata #1 got serious use in support of a scale model hobby using Badger 200 and 150 airbrushes, usually at 10-20 psi using enamel paint. After 15 years, the pressure in #1 started to drop a bit; and when the compressor itself dropped onto a concrete floor, it was time to replace. The air bleed regulator provided with this model has always worked just fine for me in conjunction with a 6' air hose. A brief flirtation with a non-bleed regulator was a problem because of 1) increased compressor vibration (hence the floor event); and 2) the compressor ran much hotter than with the bleed regulator. After a month with #2, I'm looking forward to #3 in 2033.

Very quiet compressor. Easy to control pressure. User guide/instructions somewhat sketchy - I had to look on YouTube to find out how to set it up! But, all in all, a really excellent product!

Second air compressor I owned. This air compressor is quiet as advertised and its much less noisy than the other one I own! Personally I do not need the smart turn off since I have to keep painting for a long time. The water filter is also very useful I was painting in rainy days, and if it was my old compressor it will start spitting out water droplets in 10mins. This one doesn't have that problem until an hour or two later.

I wasn't sure that I could get by without a storage tank on the compressor. And I probably should have gone up one notch and gotten the Smart model that shuts off when you're not spraying. But all things considered it does the job just fine. Many people say that you pay more for the Iwata name. That is true but the quality shows. It's very quiet, I can't detect any pulses in the paint strokes and the small size makes it easy to store.I should explain that I use it to paint models mostly with Veleho acrylic paints and it does the job.Technically, it operates in the lower end of the pressure range that my Iwata Eclipse HP CS is designed for but I've had no problem getting the effects that I want.

After retiring my 20 year old compressor from spraying duties I am so glad I did. This Iwata is perfect for shooting plastic models with. Includes the moisture canister (which in southern AZ isn't need but nice to know its there) plus the air pressure regulator that when coupled with my Paasche dual action airbrush is awesome. Also VERY quiet, especially from what I am used to, and very little vibration at all. Stays put. If you are doing plastic models at all, I can't see why anybody would want to spend more money on a compressor. Oh yeah, comes with air line adapters for most all of the common airbrushes too!Highly recommended.

I purchased this compressor for my Iwata airbrush and so far this thing has been great. It's got a water trap filter at the hose connector, a nice and compact shape, and is quiet (for a compressor) when it runs. You can adjust the pressure and does well when I use it for acrylics. When you turn it on it will run and fill up to the pressure you set and then will shut off until you use the air. It makes a quiet humming sound, somewhat similar to an aquarium pump but louder. It also has a small carry handle on the top so you can easily carry and move it around. I've really been enjoying this machine so far!
