I got this during snow season in New York City and although we don't get as much snow as we used to, it is still important to have something on hand for when the inclement weather hits. This is a very simple solution that reduces the amount of work I have to do the day following a storm. I just strap it on over the mirrors as shown in the listing images and take it off the next day after the snow has stopped. No more having to wait for the defrosters to kick in and melt all of the ice on the windshield. I suppose it could also double as a heat guard for the summer, but the summer heat has not kicked in yet so I cannot fully comment on that. The fabric itself seems to be durable and I have not encountered any rips or tears yet. It also has not flown off of the windshield like another review mentioned. Overall, I am satisfied with this windshield cover and I hope to keep it around for the following winters.

I got the large for a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek and it fit perfectly covering the entire windshield and wiper. The silver backing which goes on the windshield side heated up with sunlight and melted any residual ice. I have not tried to removed during an ice storm, so i have no idea how it will hold up.

If I could give this no stars I would. It ripped when I was putting it on. The lining where it was sewn on just undid so I could not put it on. Don’t buy it!

Photos of the product are on a 2012 Toyota Rav4 Limited.All the parts of this windshield cover that I received were well-made and effective. Unfortunately, I didn't get the elastic straps with the hooks that are supposed to be used to secure the cover to the tires. I had some buckles and straps left over from another project (the bright blue) so I was able to make it work, but it is nice to actually get all the pieces of a product.However, if I pretend I did get all the bits, the only thing I don't like is the straps that go around the mirrors. You're supposed to tie these in knots, and I can see them either becoming locked in ice or coming untied. I'd really prefer another option to attach them. Even hook and loop would have been better, so I may sew some on to prevent future problems.The actual cover itself is well-made, with a reflective side and a black side. The material and stitching are good quality. Made in China. The instructions are iffy, but you can figure it out. Be aware that the 'security flaps' are meant to be closed into your car doors, not jus laid across them as shown in the instructions.

So the cover, when applied properly, does in fact keep the vast majority of the snow off of your vehicles windshield. It definitely works as advertised and I can't complain about that in any way. It feels of decent enough quality material that you could get a couple good winters out of it. I use it on a 2024 Madza CX-50 in case you're wondering.However, it doesn't help as much as you would think. It's complicated to take on and off, and then get it clean enough to put away in it's bag. I'm glad the storage bag it comes with is extra big so that you don't have to re-fold it perfectly. But for the time you spend packing/unpacking and cleaning it, you could just be scrapping off you car's windshield anyway. It's about the same amount of time really. I suppose the primary purpose here is to help preserve your windshield wipers from frost damage. So if that's your main concern, this could be good for that use case.
