I was trying to have the rug to stick on my carpet. Despite using the whole roll it didn't work, the rug was still moving. I ended up removing the tape and bin it.

This tape is the best. Wasted money on so many others that did not work. Some left a sticky residue that I had to scrape off my laminate floors. This is a must for safety and those slippery rugs!

First of all, it takes you about 15 minutes to figure out how to peel back the tape. It literally took me that long to be able to even use it. It’s a total pain especially if you don’t have nails. No let’s move onto the more important part, this does not work. It does not work at all. It does not hold the sides of your rug down. It’s a complete waste of money. Crap.

It barely sticks to the floor (laminate flooring in our bathroom) and also barely sticks to the rug. It was a waste of time and money. Typically I use painters tape on the floor and a good quality double face tape onto the painters tape to hold down rugs and that works WAY better than this stuff.

Doesn't work on carpet at all. Marginally better than having nothing but certainly doesn't stop the rug from moving. Used the entire roll on a small throw rug.

This WORKED. I had a throw rug next to my bed, on top of wall-to-wall carpeting. The throw rug walked - and had to be pulled back into place almost daily.I couldn't find another product labeled for rugs ON carpeting, so I ordered this. I was disappointed when the tape didn't stick to the throw rug - it fell off when I tried to put the rug down!After thinking, though, I retrieved the tape from the trash, straightened it out, put it on the carpeting, placed the rug on top - and it has been three months and THAT RUG HASN'T MOVED A FRACTION OF AN INCH.The only problem I can see is that I can't just pick up the rug, vacuum under it, and replace it. OTOH, nothing much is going to get under it. It is obvious that the tape is removable easily from the carpeting if I wish to do so - it doesn't leave a residue.The tape provides just the right amount of friction between the two surfaces - one of those modern adhesives like Post Its use - and my problem is solved.
