These are solid fly swatters, the cover part is kind of gimmicky in my opinion, but I have a friend who hates bugs and bug guts and she asked me where I got these because she loved the covers. They slide up and down the shaft of the swatter so when you're not using it it's still on the bottom near the handle. I think they make them bulky to swing and they look dumb, BUT the quality of the plastic is great and I don't think these are going to break easily and have to buy new ones every year like dollar store swatters. Overall I'm happy with them and the 3 pack is great because I have one on the porch, one by the back door, and one in the kitchen. The 3 places I most often need to swat bugs. Plus they have rings on the bottom of the handle already for easy hanging.

This 3 pack of fly swatters are made of plastic. The swatting paddle is a bit smaller than a normal swatter but unique with this design is a plastic cover that slides up and down the handle to cover up the swatter portion. I don't really think a cover is necessary and you can't remove it from the handle itself but in the retracted position it stays out of the way and allows you to use it like a normal fly swatter.

I was excited about these flyswatters because I like the idea of keeping all the dead bug stuff contained. But they're really not very practical to use because the latch is a little awkward to move, so by the time I get the cover slid down, I've lost sight of the bug I was going to swat! The handles are long, but the end that swats the fly is smaller than most, so my hit percentage is not very good. Also, the swatter is kind of heavy - the cover weighs it down some, plus the handle is plastic, so has more weight than a swatter with a metal wire handle. I feel like the plastic handle is more likely to break with aggressive swatting. Probably not worth the money!

I absolutely love these fly swatters. When I purchase the ones in the store, they have these wire handles, and they bend so easily, not to mention the swatting area just starts wearing down so easily. I have been using these for quite a while now and these are so durable. I keep one outside and two inside; the ones inside I keep covered, this is great if you have small children or grandchildren that love to play with everything. These are made of a heavy duty material and very durable. Usually, I would get 2-3 months out of the store bought ones but these I know will last at least a year, probably longer. I will gladly update with how long they last.

I have to say that these fly swatters are the ultimate of its' kind. First of all, they are long. Probably about 2 feet long and they are built as a single piece with a cover that slides up to cover the actual swatter part. When it's pulled down to the base, the bottom of the cover becomes the handle that is shaped to be held comfortably, but quite firmly in your hand. I have those biting horse flies in my backyard by the pool and they are the bane of my existence. I've gone through more than a dozen different ones and I've broken them all while using it. I've even bought one of the salt shooters, but nothing did the job like these ones. The cover becomes quite handy when you swat a bug and their remnants are still on the swatter. It just slides up to cover up the whole scene to be cleaned up later one. the neck of the swatter is flexible, so you can really swing it and get maximum power when slapped down on the surface. The entire thing is well made and does its' job well. Not only that, that bright blue of the swatter makes it easier to spot outside. Nothing like seeing an annoying fly and having to locate the swatter even before you can do something about them. Highly recommended.

Improved Fly and Bug Swatter w/Integrated Cover, June 2025I really like the design of the cover on this fly swatter. The cover allows me to put the swatter down anywhere convenient without having to worry about bug guts getting where they don't belong. While the swatter is definitely heavier than its wire and plastic counterpart, once the cover is slid back into position, it is suitably balanced. It remains to be seen when the smaller size of the head and the stiffer design of molded plastic will play a factor in the effectiveness of the swatter.Whether or not the covered head makes this worthwhile will likely to depend on where you expect to use it. In a barn? I expect the cover would not be necessary and may be a hindrance. In my apartment or my van, being able to keep the area clean is at a higher premium and the cover is a welcome addition.

The swatter with a protective cover is a creative design. But I am very confused at the price and value ratio.First of all, the market price for one of those individually at an Asian market is about $1.75 to $3. Provided, the ones at Asian markets do not have the cover, but they have worked for decades. To charge $10 for a piece of plastic just because there is an cover on it is just not competitive for the market, and unreasonable to me.Second, when you purchase a lot of 3 together one expect to save money. Here, it doesn't seem like the bundle is a value bundle at all.Lastly, there is a QC and design problem. One of the three pieces I got was defective — the swatter couldn’t even be opened, which makes you wonder how it passed final inspection. Also, the swatter head is too small, and the handle lacks flexibility, which affects the accuracy when hitting. The product "sort of works" as its modeled on decade old Asian designs those in Asia and South East Asia use everyday. But I feel like the original works better than this model. And its really overpriced for the market, considering the inexpensive plastic material used, the lack of any technology or engineering behind it and compared to comparable products in the same sector.
