I have been staving off replacing the old hood shocks, that no long had any lift, on my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 for well over the past 12 years now. Instead, I enlisted the help of my good old trusty 2 x 4 piece of scrap wood. Good old fashioned repurposing ingenuity!Today, I am proud to announce that I have officially retired my piece of scrap wood, and It will hopefully move on to bigger and newer purposes.These hood shocks have made things so much easier lifting up the hood, even higher than my scrap wood. I forgot how nice that was.Installation was very easy. It only took less than 5 minutes for both sides, removing the old one and installing the new ones, combined.Thus value on the hood lifters is excellent. The quality is great and the amount of frustration you will save is priceless.So much safer now!
