I never open the Honeywell thermostat, because I bought an ecobee premium thermostat, I am sure it works just fine being a New stat Honeywell is a trusted brand, the reason I switched to ecobee I got a deal and because of the added features and app functions

Great improvement over our previous 'unintelligent' thermostat. The location it was installed was in the coolest room in the house and managing the temperature in the bedrooms was very difficult. This thermostate uses your home wifi to connect to remote sensors. You can set priority so that it uses the sensor in the room that is occupied. In our case we did have to have the C wire connected as our previous set up didn't have it connected. You can do it yourself but we had our tech do it during the spring inspection. The control panel is clean and very easy to follow. I would have preferred printed instructions, but it ended up being pretty simple to figure out.

my home temp has been more consistent since I replaced my old thermostat with this one. I use Home Assistant as my home automation platform, and this connected into it without issue. I'm able to control this from my phone. the room sensor was also easy to setup and attach to the wall.

Yet another device for which I'll get minimum functionality because the app has no respect for privacy. I had hoped to maybe adjust the temperature from bed... But no, it wants 24/7 access to my location (for functions I don't want) or else the App won't even start. Hey Honeywell, can you newer models just come with a guy that holds a gun to my head?

Our house has a central hallway, where the main thermostat is located, but the more-distant and spread-out rooms did not have sensors to inform the system about the temperature in those rooms. By installing this thermostat with 6 other sensors, we now have a system (with the proper programming) that will take the temperature in the occupied rooms into account. There are lots of useful options about how the system will use the information, and respond, including the "classical" time-of-use and times-when-you-are-home kinds of considerations. The remote sensors are sometimes reported as "not connected" but now I just ignore those warnings and allow it to re-establish the necessary connections, rather than trying to force reconnection, and it still works just fine. The "200 ft" limitation for the remote sensors seems to be awfully far, given the fact that we've experienced these issues with no sensor being more than about 50 ft from the main unit (but, of course, there are walls in between...like any house). My suggestion would be to install it, install the sensors, program it, and then "let it go" and don't worry when it is reporting one or more sensors being disconnected.

Out of the box, I was delighted with product. However after a few months the t stat simply will not connect to the Honeywell server.I have had several long support phone calls and nothing fixes the problem.In addition, Honeywell is confusing with which app you should use. The units set up says to use one app, then when you get online it says something else.Home connect. Resideo. First Alert.None appear will work for me.Replaced entire home WiFi equipment hoping that would help.Nope.I have no idea of how many hours I have worked on this, but it is not worth it.Glad I only bought one to start with.I need a total of four.

Works with Ring. Can see and adjust the temperature and fan with the Ring app once linked. Works great. The screen is simple and bright. If u r looking for a thermostat compatible with Ring, this is it for sure.

I wasn’t sold on buying this product initially, but now that we have it it’s great. You can monitor your home temperature from your phone. There is an extra sensor to put in a different area of your home to help better regulate the zones of your house. In addition, to monitoring the temperature of your house you can also see stats of how long your furnace ran. Easy to use and connect to.
