IF YOU HAVE THE DOG CONTAIN FENCE TO KEEP THE DOG IN THE YARD THIS IS A VALID REPLACEMENT. I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. WE HAVE HAD OUR FOR OVER 8 YRS NOW AND THIS IS THE FIST REPLACEMENT COLLAR WE HAVE HAD TO ORDER. THEY ARE NOT CHEAP BUT WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

I wish these lasted longer. I tend to have to buy a new collar for our dog about every two years. The dog and collar have a pretty good life. Not sure why it eventually stops reacting g to the signal.

This item works as advertised. My unit arrived with a battery in the collar that was dead-on-arrival. I had spare battery's and after replacing the collar works just fine. For the seller I would recommend to ship without battery or with a new one.

This is the second collar I had purchased. The first one failed when one of the battery locking tabs on the unit failed causing the battery to lose contact. First one lasted about three years. Hope this one last longer, if it doesn't I will purchase another brand.

These collars work great. However the batteries leave something to be desired. After changing the battery in my 10 year old best friends collar. It still had the power to beep so I thought it was working correctly. However I learned today that it didn't have enough power to shock him to keep him in the yard. I found this out when I removed the collar from his neck. After he was hit by a car because of getting out of my yard today. I'd like to see the collar redesigned to hold a 9 volt battery that will last longer than 2 weeks.

For the money, I am not satisfied: the mat failed-partially--at less than 6 month's use, and the collar fell apart, necessitating me buying a new one. It's functionality is fine, but workmanship and durability is lacking

I just purchased a replacement collar again and for the last time. These collars only seem to be effective for six months or so. After that they suck up the battery life in an amount of days. Also, the static correction level is low. Add in the fact that one will be purchasing batteries indefinitely, this is a no go. After this one craps out on me, as it will, I will no longer be purchasing products from Humane Contain.
