My father in law got tired of paying taxidermists to mount his trophies and on the smaller bucks he has started to bleach and hang skulls instead. He was looking for a mount and I thought we would give these a try. When we received them my first impression was that they were robust. These things are solid and have rustic good looks. We examined them and were trying to imagine how they would actually hold the skull on the wall but when attempting it was very straight forward and hold/support them well enough. If I had to criticize something it would be that there is no way to add tension or any clamping to keep it from getting knocked off should someone bump it hard enough.
