I have never written a product review for any of my Amazon purchases in the past; however, these lifting straps have made such a difference in my workouts I felt compelled to share my experience. I have been using the Shiek brand of lifting straps for a few years, actually have all 3 of their designs and always had an issue with the buckle digging into my wrist. The neoprene just seemed to fall a little short and I paid nearly double for 1 pair of those than I did for these Heavy Duty Lifting Straps. The guys at Grip Power really did their homework and designed a set of straps that in my opinion have no design flaws. The neoprene is thicker and longer for excellent wrist protection, the straps are at a perfect length & have a rubber coating on the exterior for a superior grip but, smooth cloth on the other side so they roll around the bar easily. They even label which strap is for Left and Right, I had no idea how important that was until owned these. I think the other guys make them universal. I have been using my new straps for nearly 3 months now and my gains with these straps are significant...Thank You to the people at "Grip Power Pads" for such an excellent product!! I will never go to the gym without them, get yourself a pair and you will see what I'm talking about!!

I received these straps and I was a little surprised about the color. It was red more than pink. I was mildly irritated, but I understand it doesn't effect the functionality of the straps. Grip Power Pads reached out to me to ask how I like the straps. So I felt it okay to mention about the color. Their immediate response was well just return them if they faded and we will refund you. I felt like they missed the point.... I was just trying to explain a minor detail. I sent a return email trying to explain that this is how i received them, and again they were blaming fading. I'm not sure that pink can even fade into this dark red color. They kept saying just return them.I will be returning them just for the fact that I want to support a company that doesnt blame their customers and wants to give them a quality(and correct) product. Not just refund their money

I got these to replace my regular style lifting straps that were stolen one day at the gym. The style of these straps plus the reviews persuaded me to choose this style and brand. I use "lifting" straps for most of my "pull" work (lat pulldowns, rows, etc) and for deadlifts. So far these are working great for me! I did notice that my outer wrist was a little sore when I initially applied these and started to pull down the bar, I believe from the pressure the brace puts in that area, so I needed to spend some time adjusting the wrap/brace until it was both functional and comfortable. After that, I had no problems. I like that the rubberized strap allows less wrapping (if any) around the bar, so if you need to quickly let go/release, you won't get yanked unintentionally. I do "feel" like they're bulky on me, but I think that's because I'm used to the old school straps and that this feeling will change as I get used to wearing them. So far so good.

If you've ever used the regular cotton lifting straps, you know they work very well, but they're very hard on your wrists. In fact, if you lift heavy in any of the pulling exercises (like deadlifts) using those straps, then they actually put a lot of pressure on your wrists, making them a stress or weak point. The reason I bought these, and I'm glad it turned out to be so true, was to relieve some of that pressure. I'm glad to report that it did not disappoint. In fact, it works a lot better than I expected, which doesn't happen very often. Remember, the padding is what relieves some of the pressure, but you will will still feel some in your wrists. They're not magic, after all. But I will say that the difference between these and the regular cotton lifting straps I was using from the beginning, is the difference between night and day.

I finally added lifting straps to my equipment. First if anyone tells you straps are for "pu****s" ask them if Kroc or a vast majority of power lifters are. If you do your research you will find many reasons why that statement is wrong and all you will do by being stubborn about straps is hold your progress back. Now the actual product. These straps are really simple and easy to use. I watched a couple various videos on setup and using the motorcycle throttle maneuver to synch these tight is super easy. I load up 405x5 for 3 sets of deadlifts and have zero discomfort from the straps digging into my wrist. The bar feels absolutely secure in my grip and will not go unless I let it go. The drop test on these also is 100% approved by me. I've let go intentionally and the bar drops without taking me with it. I have done these 3 randomly times and never got pulled down. The material has been very durable. I sweat like a pig in the gym. So usually anything I use deteriorates fast. I've been rather abusive with these and still they are 100% in tip top condition. There is no need to spend $60+ on straps when these are much more reasonably priced!!

I just received these straps and headed straight to the gym, my last straps broke recently so it's been a couple weeks since I have been able to have a good workout. My first opinion of these straps are that the are very comfortable and feel very solid with a load of 240lbs on Lat pull downs and Lat rows. They are also very solid with 100lb dumbbells. I have arthritis in my hands so it makes gripping weights for a whole workout near impossible but with these straps I can eliminate so much stress on my hands and in return I can focus on the lift I am performing instead of focusing on just holding onto the weight. I would recommend these straps to anyone looking for new lifting straps to purchase, the comfort and feel of these straps are worth the little extra money you might spend over buying a cheap pair of cotton straps. Buyer beware, lifting with these straps may allow you to get over that hurdle you are stuck at!
