I am an avid skier living in Colorado where it is often in the single-digits in the morning, and yes my boots do get cold, particularly when it is windy - which it always seems to be! Sometimes I can literally feel the front tips of the boots cooling down while I'm on the chairlift. So, I started using expensive heated footbeds to help me be more comfortable however I found that the battery packs just could not last the full day, which was disappointing.So, for plan B I decided to give heated socks a try. Now I must say that I was highly skeptical going into this experiment because a couple of years ago I bought a pair and they literally came unstitched and fell apart after just a day's use. Well, these heated socks from the Day Wolf store have worked out really good, to the point where I am going to use them exclusively this season and see how much punishment they can withstand. So far, they look very good and are holding up well.I did have to get used to how it feels to have extra material in the area that covers my toes. You see they seem to have two layers of cloth there, and I figure it is to allow them to sandwich the heating element in between the layers. It does add some bulk when your foot is in the ski boot, however I quickly got used to it and, importantly, I can still wiggle my toes so I believe the additional cloth didn't make the fit too tight.Now for the best part - your toes will stay warm all day. I put them on medium, on a 15 degree morning and my toes never felt cold. Bear in mind that the heating is only in the front of your foot. The heel of my foot did start to feel cold but it was a lot less noticeable. Once I got off the mountain and switched back into hiking boots, I put the temp setting to the lowest and walked to dinner, etc. in total comfort. I think we have a winner here and do highly recommend you give these heated socks a try. They would also be perfect for snowmobiling, ice fishing, outdoor sporting events, etc. A+

I got this for my teen daughter, age 17. She always has cold feet. We live Southern California and while I am always hot she is always cold and it’s her feet. So when I saw these socks I thought awesome. She was very excited to get them and couldn’t wait to try them. She did not like them. She said that her biggest issue was the battery and she she had to charge the battery and then she had to wear them with the battery. It became uncomfortable for her. She never gave them back to me so maybe in super cold nites she wears them. But it took a lot for her to get used to them and use them.

I got these heated socks because my feet turn into frozen bricks anytime the temperature drops. Let me just say that these are awesome. I used them while hiking in the snow and my toes stayed toasty the entire time. I can actually feel my feet at the end of winter walks now, which is a big win.The batteries are easy to charge, and they last long enough for a full day out in the cold. I like that I can adjust the heat settings depending on how frigid it is. They’re comfortable and fit just fine inside my boots. The battery is a bit heavy for the pocket but that’s a small price to pay comparing to having warm feet in freezing weather! don’t know how I survived past winters without them. These socks are now a permanent part of my cold weather survival kit.

These socks really do warm your feet well. On HIGH they will toast your feet to the point of being uncomfortably hot. Now, I tested in about 20 degrees weather and without snow, so if using in a climate colder than that, and with snow they should keep your feet comfortably warm on that setting. I personally use the heated gear I order for riding my motorcycle in the winter and HIGH was too much for me in my leather boots, even with a wind hill close to 10 degrees.I prefer MEDIUM when riding, hunting, or fishing and LOW when indoors.The battery life I found to last rough an hour below their estimate in the ad. I find this a problem with most products like this, the manufacturers tend to embellish, but in this instance it wasn't a gross over exaggeration like I have experienced with other products in the past. HIGH I timed at 2.5 Hours, MEDIUM lasted 4, and LOW surprisingly lasted about 7 hours!The socks themselves are comfortable. The fabric is soft enough to not feel scratchy but still thick enough to keep your feet warm and comfortable on their own in a temperature controlled environment. They will stretch up all the way to your knee, maybe past depending on how short your legs are. The only drawback I found was the batteries are a little too heavy for you to be able to keep them pulled up without those grandpa sock suspended thingies, lol. Mine kept riding their way down from my calf area due to the weight of the battery.

This is the second pair of these I've owned, and they are amazing. Whether out hunting or plowing snow with my tractor, these socks keep my feet toasty. The batteries last over 8 hours on medium and low settings, which is just enough when paired with a good set of boots. My wife has cold feet year-round, so I also got her a pair, and she uses them often.

I was hesitant about buying these because another reviewer was disappointed and I seem to have exceptionally poor circulation. I've been cycling through over 30 winters and long considered I'd tried everything to combat getting painfully cold feet after an hour or so whenever the temperature is below 10°C. Cycling in 5° for over an hour is guaranteed pain and chilblains have become just part of life for much of the year. I tried these socks for the first time on a 2.5 hour ride in 4-7° and they were amazing. I presumed I'd be lucky just to be less cold than usual, even using the highest setting but if anything my feet were too hot. These will be life changing and I'm just sorry I didn't find them years ago. Recommended without reservation.
