Very weak, bendable plastic stuff that won't hold much of anything. They were clear about it holding unloaded magazines and it might be able to hold a bobby-pin. Basically good for nothing. Website in error to specify "strong magnet bar." Yuck.

Works good. But to hold more than one full 30 round mag, it needs to have a mechanical fastener to keep it from sliding down a vertical metal surface.

These are just perfect to hold most metal mags. Some stainless steel mags might not hold.I've got 6 of these and might get 3 more ....

I stuck some of these to the inside of my ammo cabinet door. Strong enough with the tape adhesion to attach loaded steel mags and holds them firmly. I have a Five-Seven with polymer mags so obviously those don’t stick, but it’s nice to get some extra storage out of my cabinet.

Four of my Remington 700 clones with night scopes took up half of my John Deere safe with those stupid factory gun racks, so I took them out and stacked them in the corner. Then I heard about Rifle Rods. With Rifle Rods, no guns are touching and they are so much easier to access. I have room on my shelf for extra night vision equipment with Handgun Hangers and Mag holders plus I have room for a couple more rifles I’ve had my eye on too!

Wasn't sure about this at first. Was getting ready to just send back because it didn't seem that strong to hold a full mag. Well it seems to be working. It has an adhesive backing that you just peel away to stick it where you want. Also comes with nails to attach to a wall or something. Since I got this for my safe used the adhesive. Seems to work so far. Time will tell. I have 8 round 1911 mags loaded with 6 rounds and seems to be holding fine so as to the strength seems to be working. If it holds up I would give it 4 or 5 stars but since time will tell only 3 for now. I am really hoping this works out. If it does I will order a few more.Update!First I'll tell you about the install. I got this to put in my safe. Like all safes it has a lining to make it look nice and to protest the finish of your rifles. Secondly it's made of steel as a good safe should be. Now for this product. Mounting. It comes with an adhesive backing for stick on mounting. That is what you need to use in a safe. I planned to use as pictured for mag's. To mount this in my safe I had to use the adhesive mount. I mounted it in my safe and left it for 48 hours to make sure it held on well. After checking on it, it seemed secure. I stuck 3 45ACP mags loaded with 6 rounds each. It held well for 3 days. I thought all was good so I put a few more mags on. I went to check on it a week later and the mount and mags were all over the bottom of my safe. It fell off. This has the strength to hold the loaded mags but the adhesive backing does not. The nails will be required for the mount if you plan on putting loaded mags on it. If you mount empty mags it should hold fine. Looking at the pic this mag is empty. This will work fine with loaded mags but you will need to use the nails and this is not an option if you put it in your safe. I guess I can mount this on the outside of my safe. Should work fine like that way but this was not my intent when I bought it. Good idea but think about how and where you plan on mounting this before you buy. Not good in a safe. Outside should be fine. Use the nails if you can but like I said. This is not an option with a safe.

For reference I have a Stack-On fire proof safe with the carpeted panels inside. I attached this to the inside of my gun safe door with the adhesive and the nails so it holds fine. One of negative reviews said they just used the adhesive. If the inside of your safe is carpeted of course that won't hold. I put an AR15 magazine loaded with 6.8 on it and it held fine. I also know that it says all over the packaging to only use it with empty magazines so I was happy that it held a loaded mag but I wasn't expecting it. It would be nice if the magnet was a little stronger but so far it holds everything great. It holds my steel AR15, XDs, P220, P225 magazines. It doesn't hold my Pmags, XD, or Glock magazines because they don't have enough or any steel.**A word of warning XD mags are stainless steel but they won't hold because not all stainless steel is magnetic. If you aren't sure test it first with a fridge magnet. If you want to know more google "stainless steel magnetic"**
