Mats are heat-safe to 500°F (260°C). If heated over this temperature, it will damage the mat.
Ensure that mats are at least 5-7 inches from flames, as direct contact with flames will damage the mat.

I have a WAROOM Propane Fire Pit with glass fire beads which produces a relatively cool yellow flame. I wanted to use it for roasting marshmallows, so to prevent drips onto the glass, I placed a steel cooking grate over the pit (upside down so the handles held it about two inches above the bed of glass). Then I put a PXYOBTO Grill Mesh Mat on that and turned on the flame to the lowest setting. The mat melted in less than five minutes. See photo.

The sheets are are covering most the round grill grates. Easy clean up and no sticking.
