Giving this a 4 only cause I have not had a chance to get my gun out to the range yet to see how close we are. Not a lot of difference in this and ones that are more expensive. Besides it for a Shotgun......

Excellent Boresight For The Price

I purchased two of these 12ga laser bore sight shells. The purpose of these is to compare the bore sight to the sight beads so you can make adjustments accordingly, which only works if the bore sight is accurate.The first laser was off 3/4 inch and with each rotation of the shell in the chamber the laser would point in a different direction, sometimes right on and sometimes off 3/4in. I gave the company the benefit of the doubt and orered a second laser. Both the first one and the replacement were equally inaccurate.My photo shows the green laser dot off about 3/4inch at only 4.5ft, from the tip of my 30in barrell, in my bedroom which is disgustingly unacceptable!Most laser pointers have adjustment screws and this appears to have 4 dimples which I assume are adjustment screws behind the label. I am tempted to try adjusting them but that defeates the purpose of a bore sight.I'll be looking for a big name reputable brand.

This bore sighter came with a very bright green laser light - Easy to see. I did return this item, however, as the laser was not centered in the bore sighter. For example, if I aimed at the center of my target with my gun sights the laser could be pointing 6" high at 10 yards. If I took the bore sighter out of the gun, rotated it 180 degrees, then put in back in, the laser would be pointing 6" low. The same thing happened with left and right. At 90 degrees from the original position the laser would be pointing 6" to the right and if I rotated it another 180 degrees, the laser would be pointing 6" to the left. Also, it was supposed to come with 3 sets of batteries. It only came with 1 set and they were already installed in the bore sighter. They should have been packaged separately inside the zip lock baggy.

Have not used it yet or checked to see if the laser is centered. As far as first thoughts it is bright, seems well made. Only comes with one set of batteries and those won't last long with a green laser. It does have 6 laser alignment screws to center the beam if it's out. Boxing is nothing special but that doesn't matter to me. For the price I am satisfied.
