I tried about 4 similar products, this is the brightest, not dull of them all.

These are awesome! I bought them to use in just one song in our set, but I ended up using them a lot more than I expected. They add a wonderful texture to intros and outros.

Absolutely love the sound of this! Sounds like a babbling brook or small waterfall. So peaceful I could listen to it all day. Perfect right out of the box and the case it comes with is very nice for traveling too. Arrived quickly.

I've never seen an effect of percussion so unique and special! I would say all in one adjective: FABULOUS!!! Also good bag that can be used to transport it. It ' a tool that I recommend to all percussionists who like sounds special, wonderful effects! Again Amazon has met my expectations: excellent packing, shipping times ... all excellent!!! Thank you very very much! A big hug from Italy!

If your looking for a little flare on your kit, then I'd recommend that you look into these chimes. They are not very loud, but they add a different dynamic to your kit and have great sonic quality as well. since they are made of Boca shells they are not as in your face as the brass bar chimes I've played but get a similar effect. They also don't ring out when the vibration form playing other cymbals or other drums causing them to move slightly; where as the bar chimes almost have a constant ring when playing. I think that more drummers should use them and if you want chimes on your kit id recommend these.

I was hoping for the sound of sharper, harder shells. Instead these had a very soft, muted sound. Right out of the package the strands were a tangled mess, which took several minutes to straighten out. I can see the problem easily repeating itself with jostling going inside the carrying case. It would have been nice if the case had some straps to keep the strands of shells in place. The quiet nature of these shells means that without some serious miking, they could really only be used in quiet situations.I applaud them for trying something different, but I've heard wooden wind chimes that were better sounding at gardening stores.
