We had a few very small rust spots on the bottom of our pool. The pool store suggested we use a pumice stone. Since they did not have any in stock, I ordere it from Amazon. Disappointed as it took off the pool surface leaving the rust stain. We wound up using muriatic acid and the stain lifted easily

I honestly thought I’d have to live w the rust stains at the bottom of our light colored pool forever. With some elbow grease and patience, the stains came right out!!

The deep end of my pool ended up with a metal looking stain when the salt I added didn’t dissolve completely. I saw that pumice stones can remove it and bought this product. I was skeptical at first because of the size and really thought it would just break. However, once I attached it to the pool pole and went back and forth on it for a little bit, you could see how durable it was and it ended up removing the ugly looking stain I had.I’m really glad I found this and I hope it helps someone else too.

As a pumise stone, they accomplish the job, but they disintegrate pretty quickly. Haven’t found a long lasting pumise stone yet, but these are better than most.

These scratched the surface of the slate tile around my pool. Amazon offers a rubber one that doesn’t scratch.
