Installation Guide

Please be sure to read the following installation instructions carefully and follow the steps to ensure the product functions properly and to avoid situations where the product fails to work due to improper installation.

Before installing the new oil pump, use this method to check the performance of the oil level sensor, and make sure the performance is correct. Pay attention to the angle during installation to ensure that the oil level sensor's oil ticket has an unrestricted range of movement within the fuel tank. The conventional installation angle is to align the marks on the oil pump cover and the edge of the fuel tank opening.

First, raise the fuel float to its highest position. At this point, the fuel gauge needle indicates a full tank. Next, slowly lower the fuel float to its lowest position, and observe that the fuel gauge needle gradually descends accordingly. Then, raise the fuel float back to the highest position again. Afterward, lower it to the three-quarters position - the fuel gauge needle will stabilize at the three-quarters mark. Subsequently, lower the float to the halfway position, where the gauge needle remains at the halfway point. Continue lowering the float to the quarter position, and the needle will correspondingly settle at the quarter mark. Finally, lower the fuel float to its lowest position, at which point the fuel gauge displays empty (zero).

The replacement pump works well but the float doesn’t work. You’ll get in the car with a full tank. Make it to your destination with the car on E. Then the next time you get in the car it’s back to full. So if you need a just a pump it’s great but if you need a working fuel gauge, not so much

The float mechanism that determines the amount of fuel in the tank did not work.
