I just received enough loops to make 48 potholders. The amounts of colors received is way off balance. Looks like about 300 looms of pink and 10 yellow. Very disappointed.

My wife has been making potholders since she was a little girl, so she has been doing that for around 65-70 years. She started counting the loops in the $90 bags and found she was almost always shorted on the total number of loops (enough to make 48? Uh Uh!). Harrrisville Designs said the bags are filled by weight, not by count. There are also 2 SIZES of loops, that fit their 7" and 10" looms. If you buy a big bag of their 10" loops, rest assured that some 7" loops will make it into your bag. Not only that, some of the loops are defective and unusable (the strong, central thread is broken?) They aren't really high tech and the manufacturing process to weave them hasn't changed a lot over the years so defects are bound to get through their quality control inspectors, if they have any. You would think with knowing the issues with their products, and you can bet your butt they do, they would take steps to make sure you get your money's worth, like adding a few more of each color to the bag and a few to take the place of the defective ones. Even a modest price increase to offset the inclusion of the extra loops would be preferable to customers feeling they had been shortchanged in number and quality. Just a few extra cents per bag would generate a whole lot of customer goodwill that they were making sure you get what you paid for! Thanks and I apologize for my wordiness and taking too long to get to the point.
