Great little accessory to give rise to your flash. This worked out perfectly with a Godox iM20 flash on my Fuji X100V. This raises the small flash just high enough to ensure more clearance over the lens hood and not cast a shadow in your photos. This is plug and play and does exactly what it claims. Connect to your hot shoe, screw into place using the dial, then connect your flash. Worked out of the package. This will take up no more your room in your camera bag but will prove useful for me in close quarter shooting environments.

A couple of good uses for my workflow with this device. First, it helps get the flash up above longer lenses. In order to avoid shadows when using my Godox IM20, I put this on the hot shoe of my camera to get the flash up a bit above the lens. The second benefit of this is that it helps get the base of the flash up a bit from the camera body if you use a cage. If I don't use this device the IM20 is impeded by the cage and I can not push it forward enough to make contact with the pin. This lives with my IM20 and I would highly recommend it.

I recently got a Godox IM22 Mini Flash Speedlite for my Canon R6 and it works fine, but it’s too close to the camera body if I’m using a standard size lens, like a 24-105. The lens casts a shadow from the flash so I needed a way to get some more height on the IM22 but didn’t want to lose the lightweight portability. This little device works exactly as I hoped. It provides just enough height to eliminate the shadow but it’s so small and light that it fits in the little bag that came with the IM22. I’m very satisfied with this product.

My Canon EOS R does not have a flash sync port. Why is this important? I often want to move my flash off camera. Sometime I use a radio trigger, fired off the hot shoe, but sometimes I just want to use a simple wire. Well, without a flash sync port, you can't do this.This product uses a standard sync port plug, and also replicates your hot shoe, so you can shoot your on-camera flash AND a remote flash, which adds a lot of flexibility to your lighting palette.Another benefit of this item is it raises your flash a bit. This isn't that important for full size speedlights, but for mini-flashes, like the Godox iM30, raising the flash even an inch or so, like this product does, can make the difference between a photo-ruining lens shadow being in your photo, and not having a shadow.The product loses one star for only having one type of sync port. Other items I have like this include a mini-plug.Recommended.
