It looks a little smaller in person, but it's the right volume. I haven't done a durability test, but the glass is thick. The air lock works

Great fermenting vessel, I was disappointed that the packaging opened during shipping and the air lock snapped. Glad it didn’t cause damage to the glass itself.

Petit retour sur ce produit pour dire que c’est un peu n’importe quoi!J’ai acheté deux touries avec un bouchon qui se visse et j’ai reçu deux items différents et aucun des deux items n’est celui que j’ai commandé !J’ai reçu deux touries : une tourie avec un bouchon en plastique troué et un airlock (pas celui que j’ai commandé), l’autre une tourie avec un bouchon pour fermer la tourie mais pas d airlock.On ne peut hélas pas discuter avec la compagnie en cas de problème ce qui est vraiment nulle!J’étais en train de préparer un vin de fruitsi quand j’ai déballé mes touries et du coup j’ai dû improviser et ne faire que la moitié de mon objectif prévu car une seule tourie avait un airlock. Pas le système que j’ai commandé mais toutes fois, j’ai dû m’adapter pour ne pas perdre mes fruits.Je ne recommanderai plus cette compagnie car deux achats et deux envois qui ne correspondent pas a ce que j’ai demandé ça ne me semble pas fiable du tout.

Very nice jug, Good value, its a nice thick one gallon jug. Doesn't feel like there's any danger of it falling apart. The rubber stopper was good fit, and the airlock it included also seemed to be of good quality. The only thing i wish it had, that it did not, would be a screw on cap for the Jug If it included that, It would have ben totally perfect. If the company had a way to add the cap for buck, or two, that would have been a nice option, for the customer and the company could have profited an extra buck too. I'm sure ill find one somewhere to fit it.I was so impressed with the quality of the product, I ordered a second one already.

I've bought 4 of these bad boys now for mead making and they're all sturdy, the airlocks work great, and the corks hold in place well.

I love the size of these because it gives me the ability to try smaller samples of ciders. The only problem I found was trying to keep the bunt in the mouth. I had one slip through all the way, I don't know I will be able to get that out. But if I didn't shove it in and tape it then it would pop right out. Is there any easier suggestions out there?

I ordered 2 sets of the carboy, airlock, and bung to make mead. When they arrived, neither of them came with the pictured airlock, they both had the S shaped airlock. It was actually more of a happy mistake because I want the S shaped airlock but didn’t want to pay more for it. One of the sets of carboy/airlock/bung worked perfectly, and I am now enjoying delicious mead. The second set, however, wouldn’t produce bubbles in the airlock. Finally I noticed that when I pushed down on the bung, the lock had positive pressure and bubbles were produced. A few seconds after letting go, it was back to the same, no pressure, no bubbles. So my bung was sliding out. I tried everything, cleaning, drying, holding for minutes on end to get the bung to stay in but it just kept sliding out. Eventually the only resolution I could find was to make a square of tape and tape the bung down to the carboy. Ultimately it worked and I am enjoying that mead too, but it’s annoying that you have a 50/50 chance of getting a set that works properly.

I ordered this as part of prepping to begin winemaking. I haven't staretd yet so my review is limited to impressions. I truly can't find anything wrong with this othrr than a personal preference for a different kind of pressure valve, so I'd have to give it a thumbs up. Would definitely recommend!

The glass on this isn't the thickest I've ever seen on a one gallon carboy, but it's not bad and doesn't feel cheap. My wife's reaction was that it was very pretty and she admired it for a couple of minutes as her parents used to own an old laundry company that used such things for their products.The cap unit and airlock is very functional and built to withstand the purpose intended. It could be broken if abused or over-tightened, but I don't see it happening in my ordinary use. Even if I did, I could get replacements for a few bucks, so no big deal.I checked the jug out when washing it and sanitizing it and there aren't any glass flaws like you see in a lot of similar bottles, meaning there aren't any special weak spots. Short of an accident, this should last as long as I want to use it.
