I'm using this to drive an aviation headset with an electret mic. Clear crisp sound, okay speaker volume output but not as much as I'd like. Ended up buying a little pam8406 audio amplifier to see if I can get better volume out of it. Mic is great. Good access to electrical circuitry if you need to connect to it.

Assuming that most buying this little USB sound fob are using for DYI projects - Please keep in mind that you will need a heat gun in order to remove components. Do NOT pry them off as that can remove/break the solder pads, rendering it useless. (Made that mistake, but ordered two of them knowing I might mess up on the first attempt.) Also, use a magnifying glass and a very fine tip soldering pen when adding resistors and transistors. This was used to interface a Baofeng 888s UHF ham radio to a Raspberry Pi3b+.
