I purchased an electric sharpener for my classroom in September 2023. I didn't start using it until January 2024 and a few short months later, it stopped working. I realized that it had a 1-year warranty, so I contacted customer service. Afmat's customer service was quick, attentive, responsive, super helpful and made the replacement transaction super easy and seamless. The representative, Miranda was pleasant and just so so kind. After a few email exchanges and a video on my behalf showing the malfunction, Afmat provided me with a replacement. I say showing, because in no way did I feel that I was "proving" that it didn't work. Miranda attempted to help me troubleshoot on my end and see if it was a blade issue. It turned out that it really had malfunctioned and simply stopped working. The original one I got was out of stock, so I was offered a replacement that was cooler (it had googly eyes!) and was able to choose a color that I love. It arrived at my house the following day. All in all, highly recommend the product, the company's customer service for its accountability and help with replacing a product that works amazingly.

I was tired of the traditional hand-crank sharpeners that always seemed to leave my pencils unevenly sharpened or break the lead. I read that the sharpener, when set on the fine point will produce a blunted end but long and skinny -- this is not the case with this one - I have had it 3 days and it makes a very fine sharp point w/no blunted end. It comes with a regular usb cord that I measured to be 39 inches, yes thirty nine inches long, so plenty of length. The only issue i have had is when i sharpened an ergo soft Steadtler colored pencil which the barrel is coated with a soft plastic, i had to gently pull it out - upon doing so, it seemed to move the thumb switch from fine to blunt. Just reset if this happens. Also, i had colored pencils i sharpened that had broken leads that kept coming out blunt or nothing - it was the lead that was broken inside the pencil. ALSO, this is great for sharpening two inch used up colored pencils - it sharpens and spit them right out beautifully!!! I highly recommend this sharpener. It takes a minute to get the idea that the thumb switch will 'move' some and cause an issue but only if the pencil is a bit too big. Works wonderfully!

J'ai acheté un premier taille-crayon électrique qui ressemblait comme deux goutes d'eau à celui là mais c'était de la M.... !!!! Le mécanisme n'était pas assez puissant, il ralentissait et se bloquait... Celui=là répond à toutes mes attentes ! Solide et efficace, le crayon est en plus avalé automatiquement, taillé et expulsé automatiquement. Même ma blonde fait pas ça aussi vite et aussi bien !!! haha! Je recommande (le taille-crayon pas ma blonde...)
