A non – OEM water pump and thermostat for an F15 (N55) X5. I am an automotive enthusiast who has had this item for a few weeks.If you are reading this, you probably know that a blown water pump on an N 55 engine can leave stranded in a hurry. In addition these water pump are known to cause trouble after about 80,000 miles so replacing your water pump and thermostat is something that should be a routine maintenance item on this model.Overall, this is a non-OEM aftermarket product. As you can see by the pictures, the water pump seems to be made in exactly the same fashion as the OEM, however it has a slightly different turban style. I don’t think this is going to make a difference. as far as longevity is concerned, that remains to be seen. It was a perfect fit and it did function well and the car did not seem to complain about the device after it was installed.In addition, the thermostat was similar. It is an aftermarket product that fit perfectly that function perfectly. It remains to be seeing how long this will last.As far as ease of installation, it was as easy as the OEM ones were to install. It came with all the necessary parts and also came with the single use bolts and a replacement electrical connector. All the items on the car fit and made it well with this pump and thermostat. I had no issues with the car, not operating correctly afterwards and no overheating issues and no heater issues.As far as value for the money, these items are certainly a lot less expensive than their OEM counterparts. The length of service life remains to be seen.I gave this a four star review as opposed to a five star review only because I felt the quality of the OEM parts were a little bit better. Objectively, however, I’m not sure this is going to translate into longevity only because the OEM parts are known to fail.
