I have used this player 3 times and it went dead on the 4th attempt. I have owned it for 8 months and there is no warranty or support after 3 months in the small print. . BUYER BEWARE, THIS IS CRAP AND I WONT BE FOOLED AGAIN. Shame on Amazon for letting companies do business like this. Shame on me for not checking

Good product for the price. A little slow in loading songs. Sound quality produced through the mic inputs are poor. Had to purchase a mixer with digital effects to solve this problem.

I realized that a Karaoke DVD player has to be able to do the followings: Play different formats like DVDs, CDs, and VCDs. And one needs to be able to enter numbers 0-9 on the remote. And for CDs and VCDs, you need to have a key on the remote so you can select either left or right channel for audio effect. This unit meet these requirements. The first unit I received turned out to be flaky that it would simply not able to read many discs that I had to return to the seller. The replacement unit works fine and I am happy with it. Because of this initial problem, I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Those cheap players of less than $100 do not meet my requirements, because the issue is the remote controller. The remote controller of those cheap units do not give you the functions I mentioned earlier.

My karaoke player arrived 2 days early, and well packed. Now for the product:VocoPro continues, in my opinion to be the best manufacturer of karaoke equipment. This product is no exception. Everything was in great condition out of the box. The batteries for the remote were fully charged, and the remote worked fine, I hooked the machine up to my Behringer 800 watt mixer and pair of 12 inch speakers. It read my CD-R with no problem, and the music was clear with more than enough headroom for the volume. The CD drive is quiet and it read my CD in just a couple of seconds, and played the CD automatically just like any other player. The mics, although not top-of-the-line are solidly built and more than adequate for most uses. The mic cords could be longer, and the RCA wires that it came with it could be better quality, but they do the job. Finally I created a MUSIC folder on my USB thumb drive and put a dozen songs on it (in MP3 format). Despite the fact there were other files and folders on the thumb drive, the machine found the songs and played them. The remote is fully functional. The only thing I noticed is to turn the power on and off with the remote, the power button on the machine must be pushed in (in the power on position), otherwise the power button on the remote does nothing. The pitch changer works fine, a great karaoke feature I was looking for. The echo feature is not that good. It's NOT a REVERB processor, but remember, the machine is only $125 - $150.In conclusion, VocoPro packed a lot of quality and features in this machine for an inexpensive price. It's great for home use or at gigs as a music player with some karaoke features to connect to a professional system.

sorry i bought this. thought it would be decent. right out of the box it did not power up! i checked the power cord and tested it - working. so, i opened the top lid on the unit and found that the solder connection on the main power lead had not been made or had come apart. soldered it back on in one minute and it works now. there is power, yes, but the new problem is channel 2 on the microphone input hums and buzzes once you turn the volume up to about halfway. channel one is clean and clear all the way to full power. so, can only use it with one mic at a time. if you buy this unit, save all the packaging and test it out first. also buy a decent rca connection cord for L, R, and Video connection. the cord that comes with it is junk. the mics and mic cable are both decent quality though. and, the only sound effect setting it has is "echo" which is terrible. if you turn it up to about 5% its useable, but after that you get way too much echo for any kind of singing. i wish i had spend the extra money on a more professional unit. i think they claim this is a "pro" unit. it is not.

If you are looking to get a karaoke player ALWAYS go with VOCOPRO!! I don't work for them or anything but I bought my first VOCOPRO over ten years ago (The DVG380K) and it worked great! I recently bought a ACESONIC and it totally SUCKED!! I mean not kind of sucked, TOTALLY SUCKED!! I sold it on ebay and bought this unit and this is a great unit!! Works perfect like it should! I saw people giving the ACESONIC good reviews and am assuming that they have never owned any other brand and think that that's just how a karaoke player functions... I mean the sound was delayed through the mic, it wouldn't register your voice until you reached a certain volume and more, it was the worst ever and shouldn't be sold!!! Buy this unit and know that it will do exactly what a karaoke player is suppose to do and it will do it perfectly.... Always choose VOCOPRO and you can't go wrong. This unit came with 2 mics and 2 cords and although I have a professional mic I use these mics worked surprisingly good and are just fine for the weekend singer!!
