First, these will work on ANY selt/shoulder belt, though they may be styled differently than the stock stop. Work very well and look as if they belong there. So why only four stars? First reason is, the instructions should suggest to press together with pliers to make sure the two pieces correctly engage. Second, the instructions/descriptions should suggest care when handling/opening the packaging enclosures! If you have big, old man hands like I, your fumble fingers may drop the pieces, when opening the enclosure (yes, more my fault, but a bit of a warning). Not hard to install and they work very well. The one I didn't lose, has been installed for about a month, and shows no sign of loosening.

Two in a kit, and one still in my car.I tried these on my seatbelts and they worked well for a bit. All of a sudden the driver side stop quit working and would fall in two. Then there was just the one side pressed through the seat belt with a spear to catch my arm. I removed it as the backing dissappeared into the void. When installing them, it took quite a bit of force to get them to connect and when they finally do they stab through and poke your fingers.* Use pliers to compress them together. Also there is no real way to get the pokey bit to mushroom and stay connected to the other side. If you have some pliers perhaps you could set a ball bearing on the tip and compress it. It just seems like too much work for what should be an easy fix.

Summary: Wow, these fit just perfect and was pretty easy to install - actually, it took about 30 seconds - just locate the "indentation" from the original stop on your Seatbelt, take one side of the dorman and place it on it, press the other side on the opposite side of the seatbelt, push together and you are done.Rating: Rated this 5 Stars for 1) the Price which is pretty cheap, 2) the ease of installation and 3) the functionality - it does what it is suppose to do.Like/Dislike: Love it.Recommend To Others: Yes, if your Seatbelt is missing a "stop or dorman", just order this and you are back in business - it beats searching for the Seatbelt each time you get in the car.Thank you again Amazon and Vendors - you are the BEST.

These look exactly like what I needed, but they don't snap together all the way. I don't know if they were designed for really thin seat belts, but mine won't snap together once they are on the belt. Even as tight as I can go the point sticks out the otherwise and can scratch.Them not closing all the way makes it easy for the back to come off. This happened and when I went to reach next to me I got a huge gash from the sharp pointy part. The only thing I can think of is to super glue them together. Although that is a work around for a poorly designed product.

A great item: I recently purchased a 2012 Toyota Highlander and do not like the seat belts position. It is between the seat about 8 inches too far down to be able to grab easily after sitting in the seat, both drivers and passengers side are this way. I have looked at many others and they seem to be in the same place, but their seats are not quite as wide or may be wider between the seats & door pillar where belt attaches. I bought these black buttons which are like the original Toyota buttons (which are gray & a little thinner). I would prefer the thinner button as it fits in a grove made on the inside of the belts chrome piece a little better,so it must be centered correctly to align with this center groove. I pushed the Dorman button with the sharp end into the center of the belt 8 inches further up than the original. After pushing it in,carefully use a file to remove the sharp tip just a little to just take off the tips sharpness,do this before pushing the other piece of the button on-this way the tip will not be sticking out when finished regardless of the belt thickness as the tip is just for pushing through the belt & not needed again. Once it is through the belt just snap the other end by pushing from the center with your thumb & fingers until you here the snap that is now locked in place-Done! Now when I reach for the belt while in the seat it is up where it can be grabbed easily, I had been using a money clip which worked also, but this fix is so cheap & I can not see the black colored button until I'm buckled up,but who is looking around your stomach area where it ends up when in use! You do not have to remove the original button unless you want to. If just repairing a broken button I would put the button just a little higher & start off with a new hole & let the new button hide the old hole in the belt if it is loose-this choice would be left up to each person. I highly recommend this item for both repairing & replacement of the button. This takes about 10 minutes each side, and is very user friendly. Note: Krylon paint makes a Fusion paint for plastic if one would like to paint and let dry overnight prior to installing. Then you can paint a factory color over the dried Krylon paint if paint does not match-spray paint lightly also. Hope this info helps!

I used these on my 2 year old son's car seat straps to keep him from pushing the chest snap down and climbing out of his car seat (he's a hybrid cross between a crazed monkey and Houdini). They worked perfectly for that use, but were quite difficult to snap together. More importantly, the point protrudes down past the bottom of the backing, so on the first one, as I was straining hard to get the thing snapped together, it finally did snap in....all the way into my thumb that was pushing on the backing. Ouch! On the remaining 3 snaps, I used a set of channel lock pliers with a piece of cardboard in between the pliers and the snap to protect it. That worked just fine. I did also clip off the protruding point so it couldn't scrape/cut my son.If the point didn't protrude unsafely through the backing I would have given this 4/5 stars, but it's just not very safe, although it's easy to remedy if you know about it.
