The sensor broke on my CRV and this was an easy fix, all I needed was a screwdriver and this piece fit just fine. A total of 10 minutes, if not less. I had to repeatedly push on the sensor(close and open the door) after installing for the car to properly detect it. It’s been a few weeks since I Installed and so far no issues.

This swith donest make contact with the door. So it says open when its close.

Please save your money and go straight to the dealer. This part is cheap for a reason. Bought three in in succession thinking I was breaking them but their just cheap and won’t last. Trust me. Go to your nearest Honda dealer and spend the extra money to buy a propped one.

It didn't work. Either go to the dealer or do as I did after this disappointing experience and get a used one from eBay. It was a few dollars more, but it worked like a charm.

I bought this becuase I broke the factory one and would have to fiddle with it to get it to close just right and was sick of doing that well this one plugs in and fits great and when compressed it does count the door closed but just closing my door doesn't make it work so I now need to buy something to put in my door jam for it to be thick enough 🙃 fixed one problem gave me another

Does not properly fit a 2019 Honda Ridgeline, but I made it fit. It has a gap at the bottom so it does not have a water-tight seal. It does work, so for now it's good enough.
