I bought this for my dachshund that is recovering from spine surgery and is unstable in her hind end, so the side rails were the most important feature of the ramp and they do not fit in the holes they are supposed to be installed in. Not even close enough to force them in without damaging the ramp. The ramp itself is fine if you don’t need the rails.

Built well. Love the side rails as one of my elderly doxies is almost blind. Ramp securely stable from the bottom. Several height selections. Good traction as well. A plus!

I have a 15-year-old 6-pound Chihuahua, so in recent years, having a ramp or stairs has been essential. Before this ramp, we had foam steps, which worked great but were very bulky. This ramp has fixed those issues of portability/storage.There has been a learning curve for him to get used to it, and it's been a couple of months. He can get up and down the ramp with no issues; however, he doesn't quite have the confidence that he does with his old stairs.Reason for 4 stars:-Build Quality: It's well constructed, don't get me wrong; however, I don't foresee this being able to hold up after years of use. The wood on it is just wood and doesn't have any sort of treatment, so it can easily be splintered or split. Ours has started to split where the "rails" are inserted. While learning how to use the ramp, our dog fell down a few times and fell into these rails, which immediately caused splitting to start. Just something to be mindful of.Overall, I would recommend this product if you're looking for an easily stored dog ramp or stairs alternative. However, I would just go into this with the expectation that it's not the highest quality build. Knowing that in advance should help you avoid any of the issues I ran into.

Nicely made of wood, packed well, fully assembled but for side rails. Nice thing about this one, the angle is adjustable. We have some small dogs, and adjusting the angle of the ramp makes it great to match up to the couch or bed for them. Most pet ramps are fixed, so keeping the little princes and princesses happy with a lower angle as needed is important.
