I put it on a fireplace fan that ran too fast and was able to diel in the speed with no problems.

Easy to install. If the fireplace does not have a pre-drill location then purchase a shallow electrical box.

Hooked up with a brand new fireplace fan. On/Off switch worked but it did not change the fan speed. Tried it with the old fan, same results. Don't waste your money. Buy a better more expensive unit. I should've known better.

Very easy to install on my fireplace. Certainly works well although there is word "dimmer" on the body of the control which is a little confusing.

I purchased this item so I could set the speed at which of an exhaust fan motor. When it was all said and done (installed), it didn't work. I tried - you win some, you lose some...... I guess?

I ordered this motor dimmer a bit on a gamble.I have a wall switch for my fireplace fan.Luckily this item is a 120 V 300 W dimmer therefore it was pretty straight forward to install as a replacement for my wall 2 days in
