Rated for light motor loads up to 3 amps, this control can increase the usefulness of all types of fans and blowers. This is a rugged flame-retardant thermoplastic casing outside; UL recognized components and solid state construction inside. Plug in your fan to the Dial-A-Temp then plug it into the wall (three prong plug). Adjust the knob for fan speed. Measures 3"H x 2"W.

Horrible. Received the product, plugged it in, and it turn off (blew out) as soon as it was plugged in. It looks cheap too. Do not purchase it. Read a bunch of the reviews and thought I'll give it a chance. Wrong idea, bad idea.

This is the third one of these things I've gone thru. I use it as a secondary speed control for a fireplace blower. As long as I don't move the plug from the wall this item will continue to work for quite awhile but if you unplug it once or move it - that's it, it blows up. It's hard to find another replacement for this price point - but this thing is really a piece of junk.
