I love that even though it has the option to be put on a hot shoe it will still work without it. It allows you to change the color by temp or RBG settings. You can also just use the plain white light. I can't say anything about the battery yet as I've only used it for short periods of time, but I haven't had to charge it yet straight out of the box although I plugged it in to make sure it would charge. I'd suggest charging it if you plan on using it for a lot of time just to make sure it lasts. Although as a photographer I love this and have already gotten my money's worth out of it. I'm debating on whether I should purchase a few more and adding them to my standard gear set up.

I like how light weight this light is and how easy it is to use on my canon camera. I can carry the light with me in my purse and use it anytime I need to while I am filming a YouTube video. I also don’t have to constantly charge the light either so it doesn’t disrupt my work.

I needed a continuous light source for my photography and videos. I wanted something small and lightweight to mount on my cameras so my shoulder lenses wouldn't cast shadows on my closeup pics and my videos. I chose the Desview CL60 RGB Video Light because it mentioned "cold shoe" in the title since I wanted to mount it on cameras. It also listed some of the common video light features I wanted - adjustable color temperature and brightness.It's lived up to my size and weight expectations, which is very nice. It does let you adjust color temp and brightness. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. The color temp adjustments are particularly handy as I want a very neutral light for my photos. It fits on a hot shoe but supplies its own power, and it has a tripod mount, as well.This is a product that lives up to its claims, and it's been very useful for me in shooting pics and videos of art supplies as color accuracy is very important, so the easy to adjust color temperatures if super useful. The battery lasts well - I use it at around 75%, so if you use it at 100% brightness, you'll have to charge it more often - and it comes with a USB charging cable. If you're looking for a small, light continuous light to mount on a camera or tripod, this one is worth considering.
